Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred in Tivoli on May 19.
It is alleged a man entered the Mount Crosby Road shop just before 5pm and allegedly stole a number of items. Two staff members confronted to man and followed him outside.
As the two store attendants approached the man, he hit the 46-year-old woman on the head with a metal bar. The 66-year-old man then struggled with the man before being pushed to the ground.
The woman received a laceration to her forehead and was transported to the Princess Alexander Hospital for treatment.
A 19-year old Tivoli man has been charged with armed robbery, serious assault, common assault and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence. He will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
