Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery of a restaurant at Mansfield last night.

Initial investigations indicate a man entered the Aminya Street store just after 8pm armed with a knife.

He threatened a female employee and demanded cash before she called out to a 57-year-old male employee.

The offender then fled the store on foot without any cash.

The man is described as being around 140cm with a thin build, he spoke with Australian accent. He was wearing a black balaclava, black ‘hoody’ style jumper and black cargo pants.
