Police from Flemington Local Area Command are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store at South Strathfield last night.

About 9.20pm (Tuesday 10 July 2012), one man entered the store on Liverpool Road, armed with a knife whilst a second man stood at the door.

The man threatened the 24-year-old male employee and ordered him to hand over cash.

He took the cash and both men left the store and were last seen heading east on Liverpool Road on foot.

The employee was not injured.

The first man has been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 20 to 25 years of age, 178cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a bright green hooded jumper with a white cloth wrapped around his face.

The second man has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 20 years of age with a medium build. He was wearing a blue shirt and grey hooded jumper.
