Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Burpengary tavern by two men overnight in which a sum of cash was stolen.
Around 9pm, two men entered the venue on the Bruce Highway Eastern Service Road and threatened the female bar attendant with a knife and a firearm and demanded cash before fleeing with money from the till.
The attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
