An 18-year-old man has been extradited to Queensland from Western Australia and charged in relation to three robberies in April.

The extradition comes as the result of hard work from Gold Coast District CIB officers under Operation Endurance, targeting a series of armed robbery offences in the area during April and May.

The three alleged robberies took place on April 19 and 20, 21 at Scarborough Street, Southport, and on the Gold Coast Highway at Palm Beach and Surfers Paradise respectively.

The three businesses allegedly robbed were a convenience store, a food outlet and another convenience store.

The 18-year-old Western Australian has been charged with one count of robbery and two counts of armed robbery. He will appear before the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
