Today, police arrested a man for 11 counts of petrol theft following a call for public assistance to identify him earlier this week.

Police will allege that the man was involved in a series of petrol drive-offs from service stations in the northern suburbs between June and September this year.

A 37-year-old man from Ingle Farm was charged with 11 counts of making off without payment, 11 counts of driving unlicenced and three counts of driving an unregistered motor vehicle.

He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 25 November.
