Broadmeadows police are seeking assistance to identify a man they wish to speak to in relation to stealing petrol for a broken down dirt bike in Broadmeadows last month.

Police have been told the man’s unregistered dirt bike broke down on the Pascoe Vale Road off ramp on the Western Ring Road on Wednesday 12 December 2018 about 6.05pm.

He then walked to a nearby petrol station on Pascoe Vale Road, filled a jerry can with petrol and left without paying.

The man returned to his bike, filled it with petrol and rode off.

Police attempted to intercept the dirt bike however the offender rode through a red light to evade police.

Investigators have release an image of a man they are keen to speak to about the incident.

He is described as being about 20-years-old, Caucasian with a slim build and blonde hair.

He was wearing a blue Nike t-shirt and black Adidas shorts.

Police are appealing for help to identify a man following a petrol theft in Taylors Lakes last month.

It is believed a silver Ford Focus bearing stolen registration plates attended a service station on the Melton Highway about 2.45pm on 21 October.

The driver filled the car up with fuel before getting back into the vehicle and driving away without any attempt to pay.

Detectives have released an image of the man in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his identity.

He is perceived as Caucasian in appearance and aged between 20 and 25 years old.

The man was wearing a black hoody, white T-shirt, dark pants, white shoes and a black hat.

It is believed he had a female passenger with him at the time.

The car is bearing registration plates WZQ400.

Police arrested a man yesterday following an ongoing investigation into petrol drive offs in the Adelaide metropolitan area.

Police will allege the man committed 22 petrol drive offs at 18 separate locations between 16 February and 15 March.

The 48-year-old from Parafield Gardens has been charged with 22 counts of theft and bailed to appear at the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle and subsequent petrol drive-off which took place last month.

An unknown male offender removed the number plates of a silver Holden parked in Rae Street, Hawthorn overnight on 23 January.

The next day, the stolen plates, XQW511, were attached to a silver Holden sedan at 7.20am in Kealba.

A man was seen putting petrol in the car before driving away from the Sunshine Avenue service station, without making payment.

Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle and subsequent petrol drive-off which took place in Melbourne’s west last month.

An unknown male offender smashed the window of a vehicle in Upton Street, Altona, about 12.55pm time on Thursday, 15 February.

The man stole cash before leaving in a white Ford Falcon Ute being driven by a second man.

The next day, about 3pm, a man driving the same vehicle filled up with petrol at a service station in Napier Street, Footscray, and left without making an attempt to pay.

Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

 

A 46-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been charged with Armed Robbery, following an incident at the Caltex Service Station, Berriedale in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The alleged offender had entered the premises and threatened the attendant.

The attendant complied with the demands and was uninjured during the incident.

Police were called immediately and located the alleged offender a short time later close to a nearby hotel.

The man was interviewed, charged and remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

A teenager has been charged after allegedly stealing a car and committing two armed robberies near Tamworth yesterday.

Police will allege the 17-year-old boy stole a Toyota Hilux utility from a Prince Street property in Pilliga at 7pm yesterday (Wednesday 21 June 2017).

The boy allegedly then drove to Conadilly Street in Gunnedah and entered a fast food store about 9.15pm with part of his face concealed. The boy allegedly threatened staff with a knife and stole cash from the premises.

At 10.30pm, police will allege he travelled on to a petrol station on Goonoo Goonoo Road, Tamworth. The youth, armed with a tyre repair tool and small metal bar, allegedly threatened staff and stole cash.

Police located the Hilux utility on Goonoo Goonoo Road and commenced a pursuit through Tamworth which ended in a crash at the intersection of Marius and Swan streets.

No one was injured during the incidents.

The teenager was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station. He underwent a random breath test where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.088.

He was charged with taking a vehicle without the consent of the owner, police pursuit not stop and driving dangerously, driving with a mid-range PCA, learner driver not accompanied by driver and two counts of armed robbery.

Police are continuing to investigate.

Police are investigating following a petrol drive-off in Echuca earlier this year.

A silver Holden Commodore sedan with an unknown male driver attended a service station on Ogilvie Avenue about 11.30pm on 2 January.

A male passenger exited the vehicle and filled the car and a jerry can with fuel.

He then returned to the vehicle.

The car drove off with neither of the occupants making any attempt to pay for the petrol.

The vehicle had false plates attached – RKJ 316.

Investigators have released images of a vehicle they would like to identify and a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

 

Detectives investigating an attempted armed robbery at Pomona this week have released CCTV footage of a fuel drive-off at Kybong on the same day which may be linked to the offence.

Preliminary information indicates around 2.30am on December 27 two men have driven a car stolen from a residence at Strathpine on December 15 into a service station off the Bruce Highway at Kybong.

One of the men has then proceeded to fill up a number of petrol cans with fuel before leaving the scene in the vehicle without paying.

The same car has then been involved in the attempted armed robbery of a service station in Pomona around 6.30pm that evening.

A man entered the business on Factory Street, armed with what appeared to be a replica rifle, and demanded money from a 29-year-old male attendant before fleeing empty-handed in the vehicle driven by another man.

The 2014 silver Suzuki Kizashi (QLD reg 582 VAB) was last seen travelling north on Factory Street.

One man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 163cm tall, aged in his early 20s with a slim build and was wearing khaki/military-style clothing including a helmet, camouflage paint and a khaki covering over part of his face.

The male driver is described as Caucasian in appearance and wearing a dark t-shirt.

No one was physically injured during either incident.

Keilor Downs police are investigating following a petrol drive-off in Calder Park.

A man attended a Calder Freeway service station where he filled up a Ford Courier utility with fuel on Saturday 5 November about 10.55am

Police believe the vehicle’s front registration plates do not match the car and the rear registration plate is stolen.

The utility has a distinctive tank on the rear tray.

Investigators have released images of the vehicle and a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
