Detectives investigating the attempted armed robbery of a betting agency at Westmead last month have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries. About 5.45pm on Friday 3 June, a man entered the agency on Hawkesbury Road and allegedly threatened a 53-year-old female employee with a weapon, believed to be a firearm.  The man allegedly demanded money however he was unsuccessful and left the scene on foot. He was last seen walking towards Grand Avenue. Police were notified and officers attached to Holroyd Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers.  Detectives have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries He is described as being of Islander appearance, aged in his early 40s, and of solid build.
