Police are searching for a man who robbed a Victoria Point bottleshop this afternoon at knifepoint.

Around 2.40pm, a man entered the Colburn Avenue store and threatened the 27-year-old female attendant with a knife while demanding money.

The man subsequently fled the store on foot with a sum of cash heading towards Sycamore Parade.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, slim to average build, approximately 160cms tall, 25 to 30 years of age, and possessing a tanned complexion.

The man was wearing a dark blue T-shirt with white writing on the front, dark coloured shorts and tan shoes. It is believed he was carrying a black beanie or hat at the time.

The employee was not injured during this incident.
