Rockhampton detectives this afternoon charged a 21-year-old local man with armed robbery in company following investigations into the alleged robbery of Yeppoon petrol station on October 22, 2011.

It will be alleged that two men armed with a firearm entered a Yeppoon – Rockhampton Road business around 7pm, threatening a female employee before fleeing with a sum of cash.

The man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow where he also faces charges of enter premises with intent, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of a drug utensil.

Police investigations are continuing.
