Police are investigating an armed robbery of a service station that occurred in Lawnton earlier this morning.
Initial information suggests that a man has entered the Gympie Road business at around 3.40am and approached the counter.
He has then produced a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes from the attendant, who complied.
The man left the business on foot in an unknown direction with a sum of cash and a carton of cigarettes.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cms tall with a slim build and a goatee style beard.
He was wearing a red, white and black checked shirt, dark track pants, black shoes and was wearing a dark beanie over his face.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
