A 23-year-old Zillmere man has been charged with multiple offences following investigations into four robberies that occurred in the North Brisbane District.

Around 9.50am this morning, it is alleged a man entered a newsagency on the corner of Sandgate and Beams roads, Boondall and threatened a female employee with a screwdriver before fleeing with a sum of cash and cigarettes.

It will also be alleged on February 24, a man entered a newsagency on Gympie Road at Aspley and threatened several people while claiming to have a firearm, before taking a sum of cash, cigarettes and other items.

On January 21, it is alleged a man stole a quantity of products from a supermarket on Braun Street at Deagon while threatening an attendant with a hammer.

On January 16, it is alleged a man stole a bottle of alcohol from a hotel on Beams Road, Taigum.

The 23-year-old man has been charged with three counts of armed robbery and one count of robbery.

He is due to appear before the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow.
