Detectives in Sydney’s south-west are conducting inquiries following an armed robbery at a Liverpool bottle shop overnight.
About 10.20pm yesterday (Monday 19 March 2012), two men drove a stolen red Honda Civic hatchback to a hotel on Hume Highway, Liverpool.
The pair, wearing dark-coloured clothing, entered a drive-thru bottle shop attached to the hotel and threatened the male attendant with a knife.
They stole a cash register containing a small amount of money before fleeing in the hatchback, which was last seen travelling towards Hoxton Park Road.
Police from Liverpool Local Area Command and the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit attended the scene.
Local detectives are now seeking public assistance as they continue their inquiries.
