Police are appealing for information following the attempted armed robbery of a jewellery store in Bowral yesterday.
About 3.50pm (Tuesday 20 March 2012), a male entered a store in Boolwey Street, armed with a handgun.
He demanded money from the 62-year-old female employee and only occupant of the store.
The woman refused to give him money and told him to leave the shop.
He left the shop and was last seen heading West on Boolwey Street.
Police attached to Goulburn Local Area Command attended the incident and established a crime scene, which was examined by forensic specialists.
The male is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between his mid teens to early twenties, 178cm tall, slim build and brown hair. He was wearing a red t-shirt with black writing on the front and a balaclava.
No items were stolen from the shop and no-one was injured.
