Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a fast-food pizza shop at Cambridge Park last night.

About 11:20pm, Friday 6 April 2012, three people were working inside the store on Oxford Street when a man armed with a machete entered the premises.

Police have been told the man jumped the counter, threatened the manager with the machete and made demands for cash.

Another man, armed with an axe, then entered the store before both men were handed money from the register and fled the scene on foot.

Police were subsequently contacted and immediately attended the premise establishing a crime scene which was examined by officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.

Detectives from St Marys Local Area Command are investigating the robbery and are looking for the two men.

The first man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his mid 20s with a solid build and wearing a black hooded top.

The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a medium build and also wearing a black hooded top.
