A man has been arrested following the armed robbery of a taxi driver at Southport on September 9.
About 10.20pm a taxi driver stopped outside a residence in Rose Street to collect a fare. A man entered the taxi and threatened the driver with a knife.
The man fled on foot along Railway Street after stealing cash and a mobile phone.
The taxi driver was not hurt.
A 22-year-old Labrador man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates court today.
