A robber disguised with a skeleton hoodie is among two men police are searching for following an armed robbery in Morwell this morning.
Detectives from the Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit have been told two men entered a fast food restaurant on the corner of Princess Drive and Monash Freeway shortly after 3am.
The duo, armed with a knife and meat cleaver, forced staff members to empty a till before leaving the premises on foot with a small amount of cash.
They were last seen walking across Princess Drive towards Service Road.
No one was injured during the incident.
One of the robbers is described as being between 190-194cm tall, with an average build.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper with a skeleton motif on the front and back and dark pants.
He was carrying a meat cleaver.
The second man is described as being around 177cm tall, wearing a dark balaclava and carrying a knife.
Detectives are investigating whether the incident is linked to another armed robbery committed on business premises in Morwell late on Monday night.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with any information about either incident to come forward and assist them with their investigation.
