A man has been charged following the armed robbery of a convenience store at South Mackay last night.

It will be alleged around 5.30pm, the man entered the Evan Street business armed with a knife and demanded money from a female staff member.

The employee complied and the man fled on foot with a quantity of cash. The man was located a short time later by police patrolling nearby.

A 27-year-old South Mackay man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and possess drug utensil.

He will appear in Mackay Magistrates Court today.

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Williams Landing last week.

It is believed an unknown man attended a store on Sayers Road last Thursday about 1.40am.

He selected a number of items before going to the counter and producing a firearm.

The man made demands for cash before fleeing the scene on foot and heading east on Sayers Road.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be of African appearance and was unshaven.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black jacket, white pants and a black beanie.

Police have released CCTV following an attempted armed robbery at a milk bar in Norlane this morning.

A man entered the Robin Avenue store just after 8am and walked towards the counter.

He then threatened the male attendant with a knife and made a demand for cash.

As the man approached the counter, the victim threw a metal stool at him and the man left the store.

He was last seen riding a bicycle along Curlew Crescent.

The attendant was not physically injured and nothing was stolen.

Detectives from Geelong Crime Investigation Unit are investigating and have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey hooded jumper and grey pants, and had white cloth over his face.

Police have released CCTV of a man wanted after seriously assaulting a woman during an armed robbery in Burwood East last weekend.

The man entered the milk bar about 5.30pm on Saturday, 11 June.

Once inside, he threatened the lone female attendant with what’s believed to be a conducted energy device (CED) and made a demand for cash.

An altercation ensued and the man then produced a vehicle club lock and brutally assaulted her in the head.

The man then left the store with cash and cigarettes.

The woman sustained serious facial and arm injuries and remains in hospital.

The man was wearing a black hooded jumper and wore ski goggles with white rims.

Investigators believe the armed robbery is linked to another armed robbery that occurred in Glen Waverley last month.

A man entered a milk bar on Capital Avenue just before 6pm on Thursday, 26 May and approached the counter.

He then threated the two staff members with a CED and made demands for cash and cigarettes.

After being given quantities of both, he left the store.

The victims were physically uninjured during the incident.

The man is a described as being Asian in appearance, aged in his early to mid 20s and spoke English.

At the time he was wearing a black hooded jumper with GSTAR printed on it, black tracksuit pants, black runners, black gloves and a bandanna covering the lower part of his face.

Detectives from Box Hill Embona Taskforce are investigating the armed robberies and have released CCTV from both incidents.

Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred in Sydney’s west today.

About 12.25pm today (Sunday 19 June 2016), a 49-year-old man was working at a tobacconist on Pendle Way, Pendle Hill, when two men entered the store.

One of the men threatened the attendant with a pump action shotgun, demanding cash.

An altercation took place, and the men were able to remove an amount of cash from the cash register before fleeing the scene in a vehicle described as a black Audi.

The vehicle was last seen travelling south on Pendle Way.

The attendant was uninjured.

The man with the gun has been described as about 180cm tall, wearing a red hooded jumper with white motifs, blue track suit pants, white sneakers and he was wearing gloves.

The other man is described as wearing a black balaclava, 180cm tall, sold build, wearing a black hooded jumper with an Adidas emblem on it, black track suit pants, black and white sneakers, and he was also wearing gloves.

A man has been charged over an alleged armed robbery in Haymarket this morning.

About 12.20am (Saturday 18 June 2016), police responded to reports that a man armed with a knife was allegedly threatening a convenience store attendant on Castlereagh Street.

Officers from Sydney City entered the premises and arrested the 21-year-old man.

He was taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, and resist police.

He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.

No one was injured.

A man has been arrested during an alleged armed robbery in Haymarket this morning.

About 12.20am (Saturday 18 June 2016), police were alerted to a man, in possession of a knife, being seen in the Haymarket area

He was seen to enter a convenience store on Castlereagh Street.

Officers from Sydney City entered the premises and will allege they saw the man behind the counter holding a knife toward the shop attendant who was gathering money from the till.

Officers moved in and arrested the 21-year-old man.

He was taken to Sydney City Police Station where he is currently being questioned.

It is alleged around 3am a man armed with a hammer entered a convenience store on the Gold Coast Highway and approached the store attendant.

He allegedly made demands for money and cigarettes, and the attendant complied, handing over a sum of cash and cigarettes.

The man then walked around the counter and also allegedly took a number of scratchies before fleeing the scene on foot.

A man and woman were located nearby by police following the incident.

A 34-year-old man from Paramatta Park has been charged with armed robbery and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.

A 17-year-old woman from Munruben has charged with one count of possessing dangerous drugs and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on June 22.

He made demands for money and cigarettes, and the attendant complied, handing over a sum of cash and cigarettes.

The man then walked around the counter and took a number of scratchies before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police attended and conducted a search, locating a man and woman on the beach a short time later.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Kingston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after an attempted to armed robbery in Dingley Village on Monday.

Police have been told a man entered a store on Centre-Dandenong Road armed with a brick about 2.45am.

The man approached the attendant with the brick held up, however the attendant fled to a back room.

Police believe the man quickly fled the scene without stealing anything and no one was injured in the incident.

Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged 25-30-years-old, about 170cm tall with a medium build.

At the time of the incident he was wearing black sports shoes with three white stripes on each side, black cap, light coloured jeans, possibly a black Oakland Raiders hooded jumper and a navy blue rain jacket over the top.
