Police have released an image of a man they are seeking in relation to the armed robbery of a service station at Runaway Bay in the early hours of yesterday morning, Thursday April 17, 2013.
Around 2.30am yesterday a man entered the Oxley Drive premises wearing a shirt over his head. The male employee upon seeing the man enter immediately ran to a back room.
The offender slid underneath the security wires at the counter and approached the store employee making demands for money and gesturing as if he was concealing a weapon under his clothing however no weapon was actually sighted.
The store employee opened the cash register and the offender stole cash from the till.
During the incident the offender poured a liquid across the counter and lit it causing a small fire. The employee patted out the fire which caused minimal damage.
The store employee was not physically injured during the incident.

Police are currently at the scene of an aggravated robbery in Underdale.
Just before 8.30pm, two men armed with knives entered the On The Run service Station on Henley Beach Road. They threatened staff and demanded money, before running away with an amount of cash.
They were last seen running east towards Marion Road.
No one was injured during the incident.
Both men were wearing dark-coloured hooded jumpers and jeans. One of the offenders had dark-coloured hair, and the other had light-coloured hair.

Detectives from the Greater Dandenong Embona Robbery Taskforce executed several search warrants yesterday resulting in the arrest of six people for three armed robberies.
The robberies occurred at a service station and a milk bar in Springvale and a milk bar in Mulgrave between 5 and 8 April, this year.
Six people were arrested and have been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 16 April.
Isaiah Magele, 18- years-old of Hampton Park along with William Mataafa, 19-years old from Springvale South and Lourandy De Silva, 28-years-old from Ferntree Gully were all charged with one count of armed robbery.
Daryl Jackson, 25-years-old from Springvale South and Parawai Tai-Rakena Taki, 21 years-old from Cranbourne West were charged with two counts of armed robbery.
A 16-year-old youth from Hampton Park was also charged with one count of armed robbery and was remanded to a children’s court.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a service station in Pascoe Vale last Friday.
Police were called to the premises at 281 Gaffney Street after a man smashed his way into a temporary portable office and threatened the attendant just before 2am on Friday, 5 April.
The offender gained entry by smashing the locked glass door with a metal pole.
Once inside, the offender threatened the console operator with a knife and demanded cash.
He was given a small amount of money before running from the scene.
The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 183cm tall with a solid build.
He was wearing a blue jumper with a red stripe and dark track suit pants.
He had a dark jumper wrapped around his head.
Police have released an image of a man who was in the office approximately 15 minutes prior to the robbery who may be able to assist with enquiries. 
Police are seeking information relative to an Armed Robbery committed at the Caltex Service Station on Regent Street, Sandy Bay.
Around 7:30pm last night, two offenders entered the service station with one male brandishing a firearm.
The offenders fled the area in possession of a quantity of cash and cigarettes.
Two men allegedly involved in an armed robbery in 2003 have now been charged over the incident almost ten years later.
It will be alleged the two men, a 26 year old Lynwood man and a 27 year old Willetton man, entered the Caltex Star Mart on High Road in Riverton just after midnight on 21 September 2003. In company with another man, the 27 year old threatened the service attendant with a knife while the 26 year old man stood near the front door. An amount of cash was handed to the man, before all three fled the scene. Both men have been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery after they presented at Cannington Police Station overnight.
The 26 year old man will appear before the Perth Children’s Court today (he was 16 years at the time of the offence). The 27 year old, who was 18 years old at the time, will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
Police have charged a 16-year-old Caboolture boy following two alleged armed robberies at Deception Bay this afternoon.
Around 3.30pm a boy entered a service station on Deception Bay Road and walked behind the counter before allegedly threatening the male attendant with a knife while making demands for cash.
The attendant was able to lock the boy out of the service counter area however he damaged a wall and made further unsuccessful attempts to access the cash register.
The attendant was not injured and the boy fled on foot empty handed.
Around 3.35pm a boy entered a nearby bottle shop on Deception Bay Road and allegedly threatened the male attendant with a knife.
The boy fled on foot empty handed after the attendant refused to hand over cash.
Police attended and following assistance from witnesses the boy was located a short time later.
The boy was charged with two counts of attempted armed robbery and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
Police investigating two aggravated robberies overnight have arrested two alleged offenders for one of the hold-ups.
The first robbery was at about 12.12am when a man armed with a knife threatened staff at the Mobil Quix service station on Bridge Road, Para Hills.
He stole cash before fleeing on foot towards Williamson Road and was last seen heading towards McIntyre Road.
He is described as being about 40 years, grey hair and wearing a grey hooded top, grey tracksuit pants and a dark coloured cloth or similar over his face.
The second robbery was at about 2.14 am at the BP On the Run servo on Peachy Road, Davoren Park.
Two men, one armed with a pair of scissors and the other a knife threatened the staff member who suggested to the offenders, “it’s not worth it.”
One offender threatened to jump the counter before both decided to leave empty handed.
Patrols quickly on scene stopped two men nearby and spoke to them.
One was allegedly in possession of a knife and after checking CCTV vision for descriptions of the offenders, the two were arrested.
A 20-year-old man from Davoren Park and a 19-year-old of no address have been charged with attempt aggravated robbery.
Bail has been refused and it is expected they will appear in Court later today.

Elizabeth police are investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred overnight at Salisbury.
Just after midnight two men, one armed with a pole and the other armed with a knife, entered the United service station on the Salisbury Highway and threatened the console operator.
The suspects stole cash and cigarettes and are believed to have left in a dark coloured Commodore sedan driven by a woman with blonde hair.
Both suspects were wearing hooded tops and had their faces covered by handkerchiefs.
