Police have charged a 21-year-old man following the alleged armed robbery of a Kearneys Spring pharmacy late yesterday afternoon.

It will be alleged around 5.55pm a man entered the store within a shopping complex on Ruthven Street and made demands for cash, intimating he was armed.

It is believed the man fled the store with a sum of money.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

A 21-year-old Goondiwindi man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Carseldine pharmacy this morning.

Around 9.40am, a man entered the business at a Beams Road shopping complex armed with a knife.

He threatened a staff member and demanded medication and cash. The staff member complied.

The man walked out of the shop and left the scene in a black Lexus sedan.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 23 years old with a proportionate build and short dark hair.

Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a pharmacy at Redbank Plains this afternoon.

Just before 3pm, a man entered the Kruger Parade store before threatening a staff member with a syringe and demanding they hand over medicine.

The employee complied with his demands and the man left the store with a quantity of medicine.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s, approximately 180cm tall with a proportionate build and an olive complexion. He was wearing a black hooded jumper with dark shorts and no shoes.

Police attached to Liverpool Local Area Command are currently investigating two armed robbery incidents that occurred yesterday.

About 3pm (Wednesday 5 June 2013) a man armed with a knife entered a pharmacy on Hoxton Park Road, Liverpool and demanded cash from the manager.

Following a brief confrontation, the man fled the scene in a red vehicle with no cash.

About 10 minutes later, a man has entered a second pharmacy on Hill Road, Lurnea and threatened staff members with a knife before demanding cash and medication.

He later fled from the location in a red vehicle with an amount of cash and medicine.

No persons were injured during either incident.

Police were contacted and have commenced an investigation into both incidents, which could be linked.

Investigators would now like to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 189cm tall and is of skinny build. He was last seen wearing a camouflage style baseball cap and dark coloured ‘Everlast’ brand tracksuit pants with a yellow and black jacket and yellow high-visibility t-shirt. He was also seen with a plaster arm cast on his right hand.

Police have charged two women following investigations into two armed robberies and an attempted robbery across eastern beaches yesterday.Police will allege the first robbery took place at a chemist in Maroubra about 6.45pm on Sunday, June 2, where two women, armed with a knife stole an amount of cash and medication.

The second incident was an attempted robbery at a chemist in Matraville about 6pm, (Monday June 3), where two women entered the store, but left after their demands were not met.

The third robbery occurred about 7.30pm last night, (Monday June 3), where two women entered a video store in Marrickville.

They threatened the 18-year-old employee and stole cash and a number of ice-creams before running from the store.

Police attended the store and viewed CCTV.

About 9pm (Monday 3 June, 2013), a white Toyota Camry was seen by police driving along Bunnerong Road, Hillsdale, with no

registration plates.

Officers pulled the vehicle over and spoke with the two female occupants aged 33 and 36.

They were arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station where they were charged with two counts of robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, and attempted armed robbery.

 

They have been refused bail and will appear in Waverly Local Court today.

Police are appealing for public assistance following the armed robbery of a pharmacy in Sydney’s east.

Just after 6.30pm yesterday (Sunday 2 June 2013), two women walked into the pharmacy on Anzac Parade, Maroubra, and confronted two employees.

The women threatened the employees – a 32-year-old man and 22-year-old woman – and threatened them with a knife while making demands for money and prescription medication.

They fled with cash and a quantity of medication.

Police were alerted and officers from Eastern Beaches

Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives have commenced inquiries into the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The first woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in her 30s or 40s, about 170cm tall, with solid build and brown hair.

The second woman is also described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged in her 30s or 40s, and with medium build.

Police from Taree are investigating an armed robbery upon a pharmacy in Chatham earlier today (Saturday 1 June 2013).

Shortly after 9.10am, a red/maroon Holden Commodore parked outside the pharmacy on Oxley Street. A man got out of the vehicle, walked into the pharmacy and approached the service counter.

The man, who was armed with a large knife, forced staff to open an in-store safe, from which he removed boxes of prescription medication and cash.

He then ran from the store, before getting back into the Holden and fleeing the scene.

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery and would like to speak to anyone with information that may assist police inquiries.

In particular, police would like to hear from anyone who saw a red/maroon Holden Commodore in or near Chatham this morning. The Holden Commodore’s registration plates are believed to bear the letters ‘A’ and ‘Y’ and the number ‘5’.

The man responsible for the armed robbery is believed to aged in his twenties. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white tracksuit top, grey tracksuit pants, white shoes and a black beanie. He also wore a coloured scarf around his face.

Police attached to Brisbane Water Local Area Command have released CCTV images regarding an armed robbery in East Gosford earlier this week.

About 5.55pm (Wednesday 29 May 2013), a man entered a chemist on Victoria Street and threatened a female staff member with a knife.

He later fled the scene with an amount of medication and was last sighted in a laneway behind the shops.

Police investigating the incident have now released CCTV images of man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man depicted in the images is described as being of olive complexion with black hair. He is shown wearing a red hooded jumper with grey tracksuit pants and carrying a green shopping bag.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Oatlands yesterday.

About 5.45pm (Tuesday 7 May 2013), two men armed with knives, entered a pharmacy on Belmore Street East, Oatlands.

The alleged offenders, who had their faces and hands covered, threatened four employees before demanding money and property.

The store employees complied with the requests and the men then left the store.

Police were alerted to the incident and attended the location, establishing a crime scene

Detectives attached to The Hills Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for information from the public.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Upper Coomera this morning.

At 10.25am, a man entered the Hargraves Road business, grabbed a female employee and threatened her with a screwdriver.

He left the premises on foot with an amount of prescription medication.

No-one was physically injured.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 30’s to 40’s, dark brown hair and was wearing a black polo shirt, light coloured three-quarter length denim shorts, and was not wearing shoes.
