Police have charged a woman following the attempted armed robbery of a pizza shop this afternoon in Redbank Plains.
Around 2.10 this afternoon, a woman entered the pizza shop on Redbank Plains and it will be alleged that she produced a knife and demanded cash.
The employee hasn’t complied, and the woman has then left the business and was arrested a short time later by police.
A 33-year-old Redbank Plains woman has been charged with one count of attempted armed robbery and will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates court on September 21.
ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to two aggravated robberies that occurred last night (Sunday, 23 September).
Around 7pm, a man entered the 5 Star Handymart in Scullin carrying a blade and threatened staff to hand over money from the till. The staff member complied with the demand and handed over a sum of cash.
The offender is described as Caucasian, around 5’11” (180cm) tall, about 70kg and a skinny build. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper and a black scarf tied around his face.
Around 9.10pm later that evening, another aggravated robbery occurred at the Hawker KFC. A man entered the store carrying a blade and demanded cash from staff members. The offender is described as Caucasian, about 6” tall (182cm). He was wearing a dark blue knee length jacket and a black jumper around his face.
Police are appealing for information following an alleged armed robbery at a sandwich shop in Mayfield yesterday (Friday 20 September 2013).
About 8.30pm, a man entered the shop on Maitland Road, allegedly armed with a knife.
He approached a 34-year-old man working in the shop and allegedly demanded money from the cash register.
The man then fled the scene with a quantity of cash, heading towards a laneway behind a fast-food restaurant nearby.
Police were called and a crime scene was established. Investigators now wish to speak with a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cm tall, with a slim build and about 20 years old.
He was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark hooded jacket.
Police are investigating three armed robberies that occurred on the Gold Coast overnight.
The first incident occurred around 8:15pm when a pizza delivery driver was approached outside an address on Old Burleigh Road, Surfers Paradise.
Two men have approached the driver, produced a screw driver and demanded cash, pizza and the driver’s phone.
The driver complied and the men then ran towards Surfers Paradise.
The second incident occurred around 8.40pm at a separate address on Old Burleigh Road in Surfers Paradise.
One of the men was armed with a screw driver and demanded the driver’s phone and cash.
The driver complied before the men left the scene on foot with the driver’s phone and cash.
The third incident occurred at around 10.20pm at an address on Christine Avenue in West Burleigh.
The driver was approached by two men and they have produced a screw driver and demanded cash and the pizzas, and the driver complied.
The two men were last seen jumping a fence on Christine Avenue.
No one was physically injured in any of the robberies.
The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 185cms tall.
The second man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 176cms tall and had short brown hair.
Investigations into the robberies are continuing.
Sturt Police are investigating an armed robbery at Pizza bar overnight where the suspect used a stolen car to drive from the scene.
Just after 10pm, a man brandishing a knife jumped the counter of the Domino’s pizza shop on the corner of Henley Beach Road and Tapleys Hill Road at Fulham and threatened staff.
He stole a small amount of cash from the till and left the scene in a stolen white 1986 Holden sedan registration number UUF-898 last seen travelling south on Tapleys Hill Road towards the airport.

At 11.45am, a man entered the Wynnum Road business, threatened a female attendant with a knife and demanded money.
He left the premises with a sum of cash and was last seen heading eastbound on Wynnum Road on foot.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 175cm tall and with a proportionate build.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Cannon Hill pizza shop overnight.
At 9.50pm, a man entered the Wynnum Road business armed with a knife and made demands for cash.
He left the store with a sum of money and was last seen heading in a northerly direction along Wynnum Road.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 170cm tall, aged in his 20s, and was wearing a scarf over his face, white shirt, and grey tracksuit pants.
Investigations are continuing.
South West Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into an Armed Robbery at a fast food restaurant in Withers today. About 2.00pm, a man walked into the Chicken Treat store on Hudson Road armed with a syringe and demanding money. He threatened staff with the weapon before stealing a quantity of cash and fleeing on foot. He is described as approximately 25 years of age, 170cm, fair skinned, wearing dark sunglasses, a black long sleeved shirt and black tracksuit pants. Investigators would like to speak to the man pictured who they believe can assist with inquiries.
Police are appealing for information from the public following an armed robbery at a fast food outlet in Budgewoi on the state’s Central Coast.
About 10.10pm last night (Tuesday 10 September, 2013), a man entered the outlet in Lake Street armed with a shortened rifle.
The man approached the counter area and demanded the two employees to hand over money. The man ran from the store in a westerly direction with a quantity of cash.
At the time of the incident there were no customers in the store and no one was injured.
The man is described as being slim to medium build, about 155cm tall, with brown eyes.
Police are also investigating if a white van parked near the Budgewoi Bridge is involved. It left the area heading towards The Entrance about the same time the man left the store.
Investigations are continuing.

About 8.50pm (Sunday 8 September 2013), a man armed with a knife entered the shop on Kinghorne Street and demanded cash from staff.
A 43-year-old man working in the shop told the offender there was no money on the premises, and he fled in a silver-coloured vehicle.
Police were called and set up a crime scene. They are appealing for anyone with information on the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance with tanned skin, about 175cm tall and of a medium build. He was seen wearing a black hooded jacket and black track pants, a black and pink balaclava and black gloves.
