3 September 2013 – Armed Robbery – Cafe – Bowen Hills

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a Bowen Hills café this afternoon.
Shortly before 1pm a man allegedly armed with a knife entered the O’Connell Terrace store demanding cash.
The man left the store without any money after the attendant failed to comply with his demands.
No one was injured during the incident.
Then man is described as Caucasian in appearance, having short light brown coloured hair and with a proportionate build. He was wearing a dark long sleeve shirt and brown trousers.
Police investigations are continuing.
31 August 2013 – Armed Robbery – Fast Food Outlet – Boondall
Published September 6, 2013 | Detectives from Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch investigating the alleged robbery of a Boondall fast food outlet this evening have charged a 41-year-old Parkwood man with one count of armed robbery.
It will be alleged that a man entered the Sandgate Road business around 5.45pm and approached a store employee. The man intimated that he was armed and demanded cash.
He fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash.
No one was physically injured during the robbery.
The 41-year-old man has been released on bail and is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on September 30.
2 September 2013 – Armed Robbery – Sandwich Store – Auburn
Published September 6, 2013 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a take-away sandwich store at Auburn last night.
About 7:25pm, Sunday 1 September 2013, two men were working in the store on Parramatta Road when a male entered the premises.
He ordered some food before trying to force his way behind the counter and threatening one of the men with a knife.
Both men ran from the store and called police while the armed man stole cash from the register.
Police from Flemington Local Area Command attended the scene within a few minutes, however the man had already fled the area.
Detectives are now investigating the robbery and are looking for a man who has been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 20s, and with facial stubble.
He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap, black hooded jumper and dark tracksuit pants.
28 August 2013 – Armed Robbery – Restaurant – Port Macquarie
Published August 30, 2013 | Police have appealed to the community for assistance after the armed robbery of a restaurant at Port Macquarie this week.
About 9.10pm on Tuesday 27 August, two employees and two patrons were in a restaurant on Watonga Street.
A 21-year-old man was cleaning in the kitchen area when he was confronted by a man who had his face concealed and was armed with a knife.
A 28-year-old woman employee noticed the man and asked the patrons to contact police.
After attempting to open one cash register unsuccessfully, the man eventually grabbed cash from another till and fled on foot along Bourne Street. No one was injured during the robbery.
Police from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. The officers also searched the area and conducted a canvass of nearby homes without success.
Police are now looking for a man they believe can assist with their investigation. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall and with a slim build. He is believed to be in his late teens or early 20s and was wearing a black ‘hoodie’, tracksuit pants and running shoes.
18 August 2013 – Armed Robbery – Restaurant – Kallangur
Published August 23, 2013 | Police are searching for a man following an attempted armed robbery of a restaurant on Anzac Avenue at Kallangur.
About 7.20pm, employees noticed a man at the cash register. When the employees went to the man he produced a knife.
The man then fled the store empty handed. There were no injuries.
He is described as about 25-years-old, 180 centimetres tall and was wearing a cream coloured hooded jumper.
21 August 2013 – Armed Robbery – Take Away Food Store – Dural
Published August 23, 2013 | Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery in Dural.
About 9pm yesterday (Tuesday 20 August 2013), two men entered a take-away food business on Old Northern Road.
While one man kept watch, the other threatened the 25-year-old male staff member with a knife and demanded cash.
The men left the business with an amount of money and were last seen running south.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Police from The Hills Local Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.
Detectives are continuing investigations into the robbery, and would like to speak with two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
One man is described as being aged in his late teens, and with a thin to medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing loose, dark-coloured clothing, a chequered flannelette jacket, and a cloth over his face.
There was no description of the second man, other than his face was also covered.
12 August 2013 – Armed Robbery – Fast Food Store – Ashmore
Published August 16, 2013 | Police are investigating after an Ashmore fast food store was robbed by two men this evening.
Around 8.50pm two men entered the Cotlew Street business armed with a metal bar and a knife. The men threatened the attendant and demanded money.
After taking cash the two men then ran from the store.
The attendant, a 20-year-old man, was not physically injured.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall and was wearing a black hooded jumper with the hood up, dark coloured shorts, black gloves and a balaclava.
The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 190cm tall and was wearing a light blue coloured hooded jumper with the hood up and a balaclava.
15 August 2013 – Armed Robbery – Cafe – Yarralumla
Published August 16, 2013 | ACT Policing is investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred at the Yarralumla shops this morning (Thursday, August 15).
Around 6.30am a man wearing a balaclava entered the Beess & Co cafe and threatened staff members with a weapon.
He tied up the three staff members and took a sum of cash.
He left through the back door of the premises and ran towards Novar St.
The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, slim build approximately 6’ (183cm) tall and aged in his 30s. He was wearing dark clothing, light coloured sneakers and a balaclava.
9 August 2013 – Armed Robberies – Retail Store/Cafe – Fortitude Valley
Published August 12, 2013 | Police are continuing to investigate two armed robberies at businesses in Fortitude Valley yesterday which they believe may be linked.
Around 11.05am a man entered a retail store on Ann Street and demanded money from the attendant stating he was armed with a knife.
No money was obtained and the man left the store when a member of the public entered the premises.
Around 11.40am a man attended a Brunswick Street café before demanding a female staff member hand over cash from the till while claiming he was armed with a knife.
The man stole a quantity of cash and fled the scene.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall with a solid build and blonde hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue trousers, and was carrying a backpack.
No one was physically injured during the incidents.
5 August 2013 -Armed Robbery – Fast Food Outlet – Inala
Published August 12, 2013 | Police are looking for a man following an armed robbery at a fast food outlet in Inala overnight.
At 9.30pm, a man armed with a bladed object entered the Rosemary Street store and demanded money from the female attendant.
He left the store with a sum of cash.
No-one was physically injured.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 180cm tall with a slim build, and was wearing dark-coloured clothing and sunglasses.
Investigations are continuing.
