Police are looking for a man following an armed robbery at a Bulimba restaurant overnight.
At 11.15pm, a man entered the Oxford Street business and threatened staff members with a knife before demanding money.
He left the premises with a sum of cash.
No-one was physically injured.
The man is described as being 180-185cm tall with a solid build, and was wearing dark pants, a dark hooded jumper, dark balaclava and white gloves.
Investigations are continuing.
Detectives are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a fast food outlet in Tarneit early this morning.
Investigators have been told that a 25-year-old delivery truck driver was confronted by two masked men, one allegedly armed with a firearm, just before 4.30am.
It’s believed the driver had his hands tied and was forced back into the store.
The two offenders stole a quantity of cash and left the scene.
The victim, who was not injured, managed to free himself and called police.
Police investigating the armed robbery of a fast food outlet in the Illawarra are appealing for a drive-thru customer who witnessed the incident to come forward.
About 10pm yesterday (Saturday 10 August), staff members were closing the fast food outlet on King Street in Warrawong when they were confronted by two men.
The pair had their faces covered and were armed with a metal bar and wooden plank.
They threatened staff before striking one on the head with the piece of wood.
The armed men stole cash before fleeing the scene.
Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command established a crime scene and they searched the area for the offenders without success.
The injured male staffer was treated at the scene for a minor injury.
Detectives will carry out a further canvass of the area today and will also attempt to view CCTV taken from the area.
They are particularly keen to speak with a woman who was sitting in her vehicle at the drive-thru window when the robbery began.
The woman in a yellow jumper drove away and police think she could have information which could help the investigation.
A teenage boy has been treated in hospital after an armed robbery at a fast-food restaurant in Sydney’s west.
About 8.45pm yesterday (Sunday 4 August 2013), a man carrying a silver handgun entered the restaurant on Sherwood Road, Merrylands.
Police were told the man pushed past the front counter, hitting a 16-year-old female cashier in the head as she crouched on the floor.
In the kitchen, the man struck a 15-year-old boy in the back of the head, causing a cut.
The man then grabbed 24-year-old female store manager by the neck and forced her head into a wall.
It’s alleged the man ordered the manager to open the safe. He then left the store with an amount of cash and a handbag.
Police and other emergency services attended the premises.
The 15-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital for treatment of his cut. No-one else was injured during the incident.
Police established a crime scene and searched the area, but did not locate the man.
Detectives from Holroyd Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the robbery, and would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 160 to 170cm tall, with a slim, athletic build. At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a red hooded jumper, dark track pants and runners.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a pizza shop in Kippa Ring last night.
Around 8.20pm three men entered the Anzac Avenue business, with one man armed with a firearm. The male attendant was threatened as the men demanded money.
After obtaining money from the till the men left the store and were last seen heading down a nearby alleyway.
The attendant, a 19-year-old Kallangur man, was not physically harmed during the incident.
The first man is described as 175cm tall, of average build and was wearing a grey hooded jacket, black tracksuit pants with a white stripe on the side, black shoes and gloves. His face was covered by a green cloth.
The second man is described as 185cm tall, of slim build and was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, black shoes, gloves and sunglasses. His face and head were covered with a black cloth.
The third man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 188cm tall, of solid build with brown hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt, dark blue trousers, black shoes, gloves and a baseball cap. His face was obscured by a maroon coloured cloth.

Shortly before 8.15pm, a man has entered the sandwich shop on Anzac Avenue and produced a weapon.
He has made demands for cash from the attendant, and the attendant has complied and given the man a sum of cash.
He has then left the business and was last seen in a white ute.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 175cms tall and had a solid build.
Investigations are continuing.

Around 9.05pm, three men have entered the store on Buckland Road and approached an attendant.
One of the men produced what is believed to be a firearm and demanded cash from the attendant.
The male attendant has complied, and the three men have then left the scene with a sum of cash.
The attendant wasn’t physically injured.
The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance and was wearing a dark hooded jumper, dark pants and a maroon bandana around his face.
The second male is described as wearing a dark hooded jumper, dark pants and a dark baseball cap.
The third man was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper, a dark shirt with a green logo, and dark pants.

Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant in Bexley last night.
About 9.50pm (Wednesday 31 July 2013), a man armed with a firearm entered the premise on Preddy’s Road.
He threatened staff with the weapon and demanded the cash registers be opened.
The man later fled the location with an amount of money; he was last seen running east on Preddy’s Road.
There were also four customers dining in the restaurant at the time, but no-one was injured.
Police were contacted and immediately attended the location establishing a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Patrols of the area were also conducted, but the man was not located.
Detectives from St George Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the robbery and are looking for the man who has been described as being 180-185cm tall, with a medium build.
He was wearing a light-blue hooded jacket with white patches on the shoulders and a light-coloured motif on the left chest area, black gloves, black track-pants and white-coloured running shoes. His face was also covered with the hood of the jacket as well as a black balaclava.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a robbery at Charlestown last month.
About 6.50pm, 30 June 2013, two men entered a restaurant on the Pacific Highway, allegedly threatened staff and demanded money.
The two men ran from the store with a sum of cash. No one was injured in the robbery.
The men were seen to run to a yellow Hyundai Getz two-door hatchback that was parked in Pearson Street, Charlestown.
Police have released CCTV images of persons they believe may be able to assist with their investigation. An image of the yellow vehicle has also been released.
Ballarat detectives, along with members from the Armed Crime taskforce are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a KFC store located on Sturt Street, Ballarat early this morning.
Two men armed with a firearm are believed to have been waiting nearby for the arrival of the morning shift employee around 5am.
The offenders have then forced the employee to allow them access to the restaurant where they have gained entry to a safe and removed a sum of money.
The offenders shortly after fled the scene leaving the victim tied up and are yet to be identified.
The offenders were wearing black hoodies, dark pants and runners.
They had balaclavas covering their faces and their hoods pulled up over their heads.
