Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a Chinese restaurant at Nowra last night.
About 6:30pm, Wednesday 24 July 2013, a man armed with a knife entered the restaurant on Graham Street.
He threatened a female staff member and demanded money; however, she refused to open the cash register and went into the kitchen of the restaurant.
The man followed her into the kitchen and demanded for the cash register to be opened.
The man then stole a small amount of money from the owner before taking the cash register and running out of the restaurant. He was last seen running north along Graham Street.
Police were contacted and immediately attended the store establishing a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers. Patrols of the area were also conducted but the man was not located.
Detectives from Shoalhaven Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the robbery and are looking for the man who has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 20 – 30 years old, 180cm tall with a solid build.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper and white board shorts.
Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a Caloundra fast food store have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Around 9.25pm, a man entered the Bowman Road business and demanded cash.
The attendant complied and the man fled the scene along Bowman Road.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 25-years-of-age and has a goatee beard.
He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a dark coloured jumper and blue shorts.
Police are investigating a robbery that occurred last night in Caloundra.
Around 9.25pm, a man entered the fast food store on Bowman Road and demanded money.
The attendant complied and handed over a sum of cash, and the man has then left the business on foot and was last seen walking down Bowman Road.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 25-years-of-age and has a goatee beard.
Police investigations are continuing.
ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a ram raid that occurred in Belconnen early this morning (Monday, July 15) in which a cafe was rammed by a vehicle and entry gained to the premises. At around 12:45am two men driving a late model white station wagon were seen at the Black Pepper Café on Beissel Street Belconnen.
Police arrived a short time later to find the glass door at the side of the premises smashed. It is believed they used the vehicle to pull the door out of the frame.
The two males then entered the premises, removed an automatic teller machine located just inside the door and fled the location.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged over a number of armed robberies and related offences allegedly committed between September 2012 and June 2013.
About 6.35pm on Thursday 2 May 2013, the teenager allegedly entered a take away store on Princes Street, Grafton, with another unknown man and threatened staff with a knife. The pair later fled the scene with an amount of cash.
About 7.15pm on Monday 6 May 2013, a 74-year-old woman was walking with a 92-year-old man on Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads, when they were approached by the teenager.
He allegedly took the woman’s handbag, pulling her to the ground during the altercation. She suffered a severely fractured arm as well as swelling and cuts as a result of the incident.
About 9.35pm on Saturday 8 June 2013, the teenager allegedly entered a video store on Illawarra Road, Marrickville, armed with a knife. He threatened staff members with the weapon and demanded cash. He later fled the location with an amount of cash.
The 15-year-old was also allegedly involved in a break and enter incident in Campbelltown in September 2012 and another altercation involving the theft of a handbag in South Grafton in May this year.
On Thursday 4 July 2013, the teenager was charged with: aggravated break, enter and commit indictable offence; robbery armed with offensive weapon (two counts); robbery and aggravated robbery with wounding.
Yesterday (Monday 8 July 2013), he was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Kempsey Children’s Court on Wednesday 24 July 2013.
Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a pizza shop in Kangaroo flat on Monday.

The man had his face covered and demanded cash.
One of the victims threw a can at the offender and he fled towards a nearby sports club empty handed.
No one was injured during the incident.
Detectives have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pizza store in the Illawarra overnight.
About 9.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 3 July 2013), a man armed with a large kitchen knife and carrying a black shopping bag walked into the pizza store on the Princes Highway, Unanderra.
Once inside the premises, the man threatened the three teenage staff members working at the time – an 18-year-old male, a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old female.
The man forced the employees to place money from the store’s cash registers into his black shopping bag.
He then left the store and was last seen running in a southerly direction along the Princes Highway.
Police were called to the scene and, after speaking to the teens, conducted a search for the armed man.
However, officers were unable to locate the man and would consequently like to hear from anyone who may be able to help them find him.
He is described as being approximately 180cm tall, with a heavy build and blue eyes.
A teenager will face court following an armed robbery in the state’s north.
About 9.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 2 July 2013), two females armed with knives entered a fast food restaurant on Fitzroy Street, Grafton.
The pair allegedly threatened employees before stealing an amount of cash.
They then fled the store on foot.
A short time later patrolling police identified one of the girls who ran from officers before they located her again on the Grafton Bridge.
Officers tasered the teenager after she threatened self harm.
The 17-year-old was taken to Grafton Hospital for treatment for a cut to her chin before later being taken to Grafton Police Station.
She was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and is due to appear in Grafton Children’s Court on Monday 12 August 2013.
St Marys detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a take-away store in Kingswood overnight.
About 12.10am today (Saturday 29 June 2013), two unknown men entered the Bringelly Road store and threatened two employees inside.
One of the men was allegedly armed with a firearm.
The pair stole an amount of cash before fleeing south on foot.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police from St Marys Local Area Command were notified and attended a short time later.
They established a crime scene that was examined by specialist forensic officers.
The two men have only been described as wearing black clothing.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward.
Police from Blacktown Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery at a restaurant in Seven Hills tonight.
About 8.20pm, (Monday 24 June, 2011), three men, one armed with a firearm and the others armed with knives, entered the Rowley Street restaurant and threatened the two owners while demanding money.
The trio ran from the restaurant empty handed after being surprised by a chef who was still working in the kitchen at the time of the robbery.
No one was injured during the attempt.
A crime scene was established while police investigate the scene.
