A man has been charged following two armed robberies in Bundaberg early this morning.

Around 3.20am a man entered a convenience store in Bourbong Street and allegedly threatened a female staff member while indicating he was holding a weapon under his clothing.

The man fled on foot with a sum of cash.

Around 4.25am a man entered a fast food outlet in Targo Street and allegedly threatened a male staff member and demanded cash.

The man fled on foot empty handed.

A 26-year-old man from Coolum Beach has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and attempted armed robbery and is due to appear before the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.

Police have released a CCTV image after the armed robbery of a pizza store in Springfield last night.

Around 11.30pm a man entered the Sapphire Street store and threatened the female attendant with a knife, demanding cash.

The attendant complied and the man fled the store with a sum of cash.

He was last seen running towards Topaz Street.

Police believe the man pictured may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as Caucasian, around 185cm tall and of a slim build.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating after two men attempted to rob a fast food restaurant in Springfield Lakes this morning.

Around 3.30am two men entered the Springfield Lakes Boulevard store armed with a knife and a hammer, and demanded cash.

The store attendants refused to comply. One of the men damaged a cash register and continuing the threaten staff.

Both men left the store empty handed.

Police believe this attempt may be linked to an earlier armed robbery in Redbank Plains.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged a man after the armed robbery of a Toowoomba takeaway store last night.

Around 7.30pm, a man entered the Hume Street store armed with a knife and demanded cash from the female staff member.

She complied and the man left the scene in a car being driven by a woman.

Police have charged a 25-year-old Newtown man with armed robbery.

He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Toowomba takeaway store last night.

Just before 7.30pm, a man entered the Hume Street store armed with a knife and demanded cash from the female staff member.

She complied and the man left the scene in a car being driven by a woman.

Police have spoken with a number of people regarding the incident, but the man believed to be involved is still outstanding.

Investigations are continuing.

East Metropolitan District Crime Team officers have charged a woman in relation to two incidents involving people being threatened with a syringe, the last being on Saturday 1 December 2012. About 6:30am on Saturday a woman entered a fast food restaurant on Great Eastern Highway, Midland and approached the counter, demanding cash. After not being given anything the woman produced a syringe and again demanded cash. Shortly after, another staff member approached the woman and asked her to leave, and it will be alleged the woman again produced the syringe and demanded cash. Police had been made aware of the incident and attended the location, locating the alleged offender still present and took her into custody. During the course of the subsequent investigation officers identified a separate incident on Saturday 23 June 2012. About 3:00pm a woman who was in company with two other women approached another woman who was sitting on a bench at a shopping centre on Albany Highway, Cannington. It will be alleged the offender produced a syringe and demanded the victim hand over personal property. The victim, fearing for her safety, complied with the demands and handed over her phone. A 23 year old woman from York has been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and two counts of Attempted Armed Robbery, and she will appear in the Midland Magistrates Court today, Monday 3 December 2012.

ACT Policing has arrested an 18-year-old Wanniassa man following an aggravated robbery in Weston last night (Tuesday, December 4).

Around 9.20pm two men entered the Subway. The men covered their faces with their shirts and threatened staff with a pair of scissors demanding cash.

The men then fled the store and were immediately confronted by police.

One man was apprehended a short time later and police are looking for a second offender. He is described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance approximately 170cm (5’7”) tall with a slim build.

He fled the scene in a blue station wagon with dark tinted windows, in the direction of Namatjira Drive. The vehicle is suspected to be stolen.

The Wanniassa man has been charged with aggravated robbery and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, December 5).

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pizza store at St Marys last night.

About 9:20pm, Wednesday 5 December 2012, a man entered the pizza store on Gallipoli Street and jumped the counter.

The man, who was armed with knife and wearing a mask, threatened the manager and a delivery driver before being taking an amount of cash.

He then jumped back over the counter and ran out of the store.

St Marys Police attended the shop within minutes of the robbery where they established a permitter and conducted a search of the area with the assistance of a police dog.

Despite their efforts police were unable to locate the armed man.

A crime scene was established and examined by officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.

Detectives from St Marys Local Area Command are investigating the robbery and are looking for a man described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his 20s, 170cm tall with a solid build.

 

He was wearing blue hooded jumper, dark track pants and white joggers.

Sunshine Coast Detectives have charged a 15-year-old Beerwah boy after the robbery of a Landsborough takeaway store last night.

It will be alleged around 9.30pm a male entered a Mill Street store, produced a large knife and demanded cash.

Nothing was stolen during the incident and no one was injured.

The boy has been charged with attempted robbery and will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act.
