24 January 2016 – Armed Robbery – Hardware Store – Seven Hills

A man has been charged following an armed robbery at a hardware store in Seven Hills yesterday.
About 5pm (Saturday 23 January 2016), a man entered the hardware store on Abbott Road and wheeled a jack hammer towards the front door.
When he was questioned by security, the man allegedly produced a knife and threatened staff before loading the jackhammer on the back of a utility, and fleeing.
Police from Blacktown Local Area Command were notified and conducted a patrol of the area, however could not locate the man.
About 5.45pm (Saturday 23 January), following investigations, officers attended a home on Woodstock Avenue, Rooty Hill.
A 19-year-old man allegedly fled the home and was arrested a short distance away. During a search of the man, police allegedly located a knife, which was seized.
A Toyota Hilux and a jack hammer were also seized at the home. All items will undergo forensic examination.
The man was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where he was charged with a number of offenses including robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon, and drive whilst disqualified.
He was refused bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 24 January 2016).
18 January 2016 – Armed Robbery – Home Improvement Store – Rouse Hill
Published January 22, 2016 | Police are investigating an armed robbery of a home improvement store in Rouse Hill today.
About 11.30am (Monday 18 January 2016), a man entered the store on Commercial Road and removed a knife and two power tools before attempting to leave the premises without paying for the items.
Police have been told when a staff member attempted to stop the man; he produced a second knife from his pocket and threatened the employee, and several others who also attempted to stop him from leaving.
The armed man left the scene with the items in a Nissan Pulsar, with two other people in the vehicle.
Officers attached to The Hills Local Area Command were contacted and commenced investigations.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with them.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 20-25-years-old, of slim build, and with short sandy-coloured hair.
The man was seen wearing a light blue, black and white t-shirt, short black shorts, and grey running shoes.
9 January 2016 – Armed Robbery – Pizza Delivery Driver – Caboolture
Published January 15, 2016 | A 23-year-old man has been charged following investigations into the alleged armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Caboolture last night.
At 10.20pm, a 30-year-old Caboolture man arrived at a Rogers Crescent address where he was allegedly threatened by a man armed with a knife and hammer on the driveway.
A man allegedly stole a sum of cash, three pizzas, a chocolate cake and a bottle of soft drink before leaving the scene on foot.
No-one was physically injured.
A 23-year-old Caboolture man is scheduled to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today charged with armed robbery and possessing utensils or pipes.
28 December 2015 – Update – Charges Laid – Armed Robbery – Post Office – Ellen Grove
Published January 8, 2016 | Police investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at Ellen Grove on December 24 have charged two men.
It will be alleged that around 8.30am, a man armed with a firearm entered a Post Office on Waterford Road, threatened a male employee and demanded cash.
The employee dived under the front counter and the man allegedly fled the store empty handed.
A 34-year-old Moorooka man was charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, possess tainted property, stealing, unlawful possession of restricted drugs, unlawful possession of weapons, and unlawful use of motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, December 29.
A 24-year-old Inala man was charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, unlawful possession of weapons, and possess drug utensils.
He is also due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, December 29.
24 December 2015 – Armed Robbery – Post Office – Ellen Grove
Published January 8, 2016 | A man armed with a rifle attempted to rob a post office at Ellen Grove this morning.
The man entered the Waterford Road business around 8.30am, threatened a male employee and demanded cash.
The employee dived under the front counter and the offender fled the store empty handed.
He was last seen leaving in a stolen white 2012 Toyota Corolla sedan with Queensland registration 412SQW.
The man is described as approximately 180cms tall, obese and was wearing a black balaclava, long sleeved black jumper, light blue jeans and white shoes.
No one was physically injured during the robbery and police investigations are continuing.
30 December 2015 – Armed Robbery – Pizza Delivery Man – North Nowra
Published January 8, 2016 | Police are appealing for witnesses after a pizza delivery man was robbed at North Nowra last night.
About 6.30pm (Tuesday 29 December 2015), a 20-year-old pizza delivery driver attended a home on Judith Drive, to deliver pizzas.
A man approached the driver, threatened him with a knife, and demanded the food, cash, mobile phone and wallet.
The delivery man handed over the items, then got back into his car and drove away.
He contacted police and officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended the pizza shop and commenced inquiries.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Nowra Police Station on 4421 9699 or Crime Stoppers.

24 December 2015 – Armed Robbery – Shopping Complex – Hebersham
Published January 8, 2016 | Police are investigating following three armed robberies at a shopping complex at Hebersham yesterday.
About 7pm (Wednesday 23 December 2015), two males, one armed with what is believed to be a shortened rifle, entered a shopping complex on Welwyn Road.
Police have been told the pair entered three stores within the complex, each time threatening staff and demanding money.
The armed pair fled the scene a short time later, taking cash from one of the stores.
Officers attached to Mt Druitt Local Area Command were called and commenced investigations.
No one was injured during the incident.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to two males who may be able to assist with the investigation.
They are described as being of large build, possibly of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, and were wearing track pants and hooded jumpers.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are also urged to come forward.
13 December 2015 – Armed Robbery – Camping Store – Garbutt
Published December 18, 2015 | Townsville detectives investigating the alleged robbery of an outdoor/camping store in Garbutt yesterday have charged a man with armed robbery.
It will be alleged at around 4.45pm a man left the Bayswater Road business with a number of items that he failed to pay for.
A 30-year-old male employee chased the man on foot for a short distance before the fleeing man turned around and allegedly threatened the employee with a knife.
The man was arrested in a nearby street after the employee flagged down a passing police vehicle.
Police intercepted the car the man had jumped into in Greg Jabbs Court, and took him into custody without incident.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
A 23-year-old Kirwan man has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow.
16 December 2015 – Armed Robbery – Post Office – Adamstown
Published December 18, 2015 | Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Adamstown yesterday.
Just before 3.30pm (Tuesday 15 December 2015), a man entered a post office on Brunker Road and threatened two employees with what appeared to be a firearm.
He forced himself behind a security counter and demanded cash.
The man grabbed a till containing cash before he fled the scene, and was last seen running through the grounds of a nearby church.
Officers from Newcastle City Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist them with inquiries.
He is described as being aged about 25 to 35-years-old with a stocky build.
He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved light-coloured business shirt, long trousers and a “Panama” style hat with a light-coloured face covering.
Detectives from Newcastle City Local Area Command are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
4 December 2015 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Boutique – Adelaide CBD
Published December 11, 2015 | A man has been arrested following an investigation into a city boutique robbery.
Police will allege around 1.30pm on Sunday 22 November, a man entered a store in Rundle Place armed with a knife and demanded money from staff.
Detectives from Eastern Adelaide CIB today arrested a 31-year-old Blakeview man and charged him with aggravated robbery. He was refused police bail to appear in court on Monday.
