A man has been charged following an armed robbery at a hardware store in Seven Hills yesterday.
About 5pm (Saturday 23 January 2016), a man entered the hardware store on Abbott Road and wheeled a jack hammer towards the front door.
When he was questioned by security, the man allegedly produced a knife and threatened staff before loading the jackhammer on the back of a utility, and fleeing.
Police from Blacktown Local Area Command were notified and conducted a patrol of the area, however could not locate the man.
About 5.45pm (Saturday 23 January), following investigations, officers attended a home on Woodstock Avenue, Rooty Hill.
A 19-year-old man allegedly fled the home and was arrested a short distance away. During a search of the man, police allegedly located a knife, which was seized.
A Toyota Hilux and a jack hammer were also seized at the home. All items will undergo forensic examination.
The man was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where he was charged with a number of offenses including robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon, and drive whilst disqualified.
He was refused bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 24 January 2016).
Police are investigating an armed robbery of a home improvement store in Rouse Hill today.
About 11.30am (Monday 18 January 2016), a man entered the store on Commercial Road and removed a knife and two power tools before attempting to leave the premises without paying for the items.
Police have been told when a staff member attempted to stop the man; he produced a second knife from his pocket and threatened the employee, and several others who also attempted to stop him from leaving.
The armed man left the scene with the items in a Nissan Pulsar, with two other people in the vehicle.
Officers attached to The Hills Local Area Command were contacted and commenced investigations.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with them.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 20-25-years-old, of slim build, and with short sandy-coloured hair.
The man was seen wearing a light blue, black and white t-shirt, short black shorts, and grey running shoes.
A 23-year-old man has been charged following investigations into the alleged armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Caboolture last night.
At 10.20pm, a 30-year-old Caboolture man arrived at a Rogers Crescent address where he was allegedly threatened by a man armed with a knife and hammer on the driveway.
A man allegedly stole a sum of cash, three pizzas, a chocolate cake and a bottle of soft drink before leaving the scene on foot.
No-one was physically injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pizza delivery man was robbed at North Nowra last night.
About 6.30pm (Tuesday 29 December 2015), a 20-year-old pizza delivery driver attended a home on Judith Drive, to deliver pizzas.
A man approached the driver, threatened him with a knife, and demanded the food, cash, mobile phone and wallet.
The delivery man handed over the items, then got back into his car and drove away.
He contacted police and officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended the pizza shop and commenced inquiries.

About 7pm (Wednesday 23 December 2015), two males, one armed with what is believed to be a shortened rifle, entered a shopping complex on Welwyn Road.
Police have been told the pair entered three stores within the complex, each time threatening staff and demanding money.
The armed pair fled the scene a short time later, taking cash from one of the stores.
Officers attached to Mt Druitt Local Area Command were called and commenced investigations.
No one was injured during the incident.

They are described as being of large build, possibly of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, and were wearing track pants and hooded jumpers.

Detectives from Eastern Adelaide CIB today arrested a 31-year-old Blakeview man and charged him with aggravated robbery. He was refused police bail to appear in court on Monday.
