5 July 2018 – Armed Robbery – Store – Coffs Harbour

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Coffs Harbour today.
About 4.40pm (Thursday 5 July 2018), a man, armed with a meat cleaver, entered a store in Park Avenue and threatened an employee.
He stole cash before fleeing the scene on foot.
No one was injured.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Police wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He has been described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his late 20s, 178cm tall, and of a medium build. The man was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper.
Anyone witnesses are urged to come forward.
5 July 2018 – Update – Arrests – Armed Robbery – Store – Broulee
Published July 6, 2018 | Two teenagers have been charged over an alleged armed robbery on the state’s south coast yesterday.
About 5.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 4 July 2018), police will allege two males entered a store in Grant Street, Broulee; one armed with a firearm and a knife and the other holding a knife.
They allegedly threatened a staff member before stealing cash and alcohol.
Officers from South Coast Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, two teenagers were arrested in Broulee about 8.30pm yesterday and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station.
A 17-year-old boy was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, and robbery armed with offensive weapon.
A 15-year-old boy was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.
They were both refused bail and are due to face a children’s court today (Thursday 5 July 2018).
30 June 2018 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Store – South Tamworth
Published July 6, 2018 | A man will appear in court today charged over an armed robbery at a South Tamworth store this week.
About 4.15pm on Thursday (28 June 2018), police will allege a man entered a store on the New England Highway, and threatened a staff member with a weapon before stealing cash.
No one was physically injured.
Officers from Oxley Police District commenced an investigation.
Following inquires, a 33-year-old man was arrested at a Tamworth Cinema about 6.30pm yesterday (Friday 29 June 2018).
The man was taken to Tamworth Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
He was refused bail to appear before Tamworth Bail Court today (Saturday 30 June 2018).
28 June 2018 – Armed Robbery – Business Premises – Rosewood
Published June 29, 2018 | Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred this evening in Rosewood.
Officers were called to a fuel station on John Street at 7.40pm following reports a man entered the business armed with a knife.
He made demands for cash, and when the female attendant complied, he fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
Investigations are continuing.
27 June 2018 – Armed Robbery – Adult Store – Cannon Hill
Published June 29, 2018 | Detectives are searching for a man who robbed an adult store on Wynnum Road in Cannon Hill on Tuesday night.
Just before 6pm the man threatened a staff member with a knife before demanding she hand over money from the till.
The employee complied with his demands and he fled the store with a sum of cash.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, aged in his late 20s with a medium build, fair complexion and wavy short ginger hair.
25 June 2018 – Update – CCTV Released – Armed Robbery – Business Premises – Annerley
Published June 29, 2018 | Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a food outlet in Annerley on May 7 have released vision of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
At 8.25pm, a man entered the Ipswich Road business armed with a knife and a pair of scissors.
He demanded cash from two female employees before leaving with a sum of money.
He was last seen heading south along Ipswich Road.
No-one was physically injured during the robbery.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall and aged in his 30s or 40s with blue eyes.
28 June 2018 – Armed Robbery – Store – Tamworth
Published June 29, 2018 | Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Tamworth this afternoon.
About 4.15pm (Thursday 28 June 2018), police were called to a store on the New England Highway, South Tamworth, following reports a man had threatened staff with a knife, before stealing cash.
Police were told the man was seen leaving the area in a vehicle.
The car is described as being a dark blue Mitsubishi Magna, or similar.
The man is described as having a slim build and was wearing dark-coloured pants, a maroon-coloured top with white sleeves, black gloves and had his face covered.
Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
Noone was injured during the incident.
26 June 2018 – Update – CCTV Released – Armed Robbery – Newsagency – Cessnock
Published June 29, 2018 | Police have released CCTV vision following an attempted armed robbery in Cessnock last month.
About 2.20am on Thursday 17 May 2018, a man entered a newsagency on Wollombi Road and threatened a staff member with a firearm, demanding cash.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District attended and launched an investigation into the incident.
CCTV from inside the store has now been released and officers are keen to speak with a man seen in the vision who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is depicted in the vision as being about 168cm tall, with a thin build.
The man in the vision is wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, brown pants, black running shoes with a white Nike symbol and has his face covered.
Police have been told the man spoke with an Australian accent.
16 June 2018 – Armed Robbery – Store – North Rockhampton
Published June 22, 2018 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a store in North Rockhampton earlier tonight.
Around 6.30pm, a man entered the Lakes Creek Road store in Koongal, armed with an iron bar and demanded money from two shop attendants.
He then left the business in an unknown direction with a sum of cash.
The 65-year-old male attendant and the 62-year-old female attendant were not physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as 175 to 180 centimetres tall with a slim build, wearing dark clothing, a black hat and carrying a backpack.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police.
14 June 2018 – Armed Robbery – Bakery – Acacia Ridge
Published June 15, 2018 | Two boys have been charged following the armed robbery of an Acacia Ridge bakery this afternoon.
It will be alleged that around 1.15pm, a boy entered the Mortimer Road business and threatened a male staff member with a baseball bat.
He allegedly demanded money before jumping over the counter and grabbing money out of a basket and fled the scene on foot.
He was later joined by a younger boy who police allege may have been acting as a look out for the other.
Witnesses assisted police determine the direction they had fled, and a police dog and their handler was able to track them to a home nearby.
Both boys – a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old – were conveyed to Acacia Ridge police station and charged with armed robbery.
