Armed Crime Squad detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery outside a fast food restaurant in Sunbury on Monday.

Investigators believe that three offenders, two of whom were armed with firearms, held up a cash delivery car which was parked in a car park outside the Horne Street restaurant just after 6am.

A quantity of cash was taken but no one was injured during the incident.

Two of the alleged offenders fled the scene on a dark coloured motorcycle.

The other alleged offender left in a late model sports Holden Commodore sedan, believed to look similar to this pictured vehicle.

Both vehicles were in the area prior to the robbery and police are appealing to anyone who may have seen them around the time of the incident or travelling at excessive speeds along the Calder Highway just after 6am.

The Commodore was later located dumped and burnt out in Little River near Werribee.

“We know that both the car and motorcycle drove around the area several times prior to the incident,” Detective Sergeant Warren Chapman said.

“We’re encouraging anyone who may have any information relating to these vehicles, the alleged offenders or the incident itself to come forward,”

Police have released CCTV vision of the car and motorcycle in the hope someone will recognise them.

“We will have an information caravan set up between 5.30am and 1pm today.

“If people can’t make the caravan, we’d appreciate it if information was passed on to Crime Stoppers.”

The information caravan will be set up at 7 Horne Street, Sunbury.

Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two men following an armed robbery in Ballarat on 1 December.

The armed robbery is alleged to have occurred at a store in Sturt Street around 6.30pm.

No one was injured during the incident.

A 40-year-old Ballarat man was arrested in Macarthur Street, Ballarat, around 8.15pm last night following an alleged pursuit with police.

He has been charged with armed robbery, conduct endangering life and five counts of burglary and theft.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at the Ballarat Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

A 21-year-old man from Ballarat was arrested around 9.15am this morning after police executed two search warrants.

He is currently in custody assisting with enquiries.

The trio fled the scene on a motorbike and a vehicle described as a black club sport Commodore sedan or similar.

The car was last seen travelling north on Calder Hwy while the motorcycle was seen travelling south.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a heavily pregnant woman was robbed while working at a Sunbury service station on Wednesday.

A man entered the Horne Street servo when the female attendant was getting ready to close the store about 9.55pm.

He has demanded cash which she has handed over.

Unhappy with the amount provided, the man has become aggressive and told the woman he had a gun and threatened her.

The woman has told him that she had provided him with all the cash and the man has left.

The 8-month-pregnant woman was not injured during the incident.

Police have released below images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Melbourne Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have charged a man following an alleged sexual assault in Carlton and alleged armed robberies at Northcote, Fitzroy and North Fitzroy.

The alleged sexual assault occurred in Drummond Street, Carlton, around 11.30am yesterday morning.

The alleged armed robberies occurred at a service station on High Street, Northcote , around 12.10pm, a hotel on St Georges Road, Northcote, around 12.20pm, a hotel on Scotchner Street, North Fitzroy around 12.35pm and a supermarket on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy around 12.40pm yesterday.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man in a car in Moor Street, Fitzroy at 12.50pm yesterday afternoon.

Abdirizak Hashi from Fitzroy has been charged with rape, indecent assault, false imprisonment, three counts of attempted armed robbery, two counts of attempted robbery, four assault related offences, theft of motor vehicle and two counts of theft.

He faced an out of session’s court hearing and has been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later this morning.

Police have released CCTV footage following an armed robbery at a licensed club on Talmage Street in Albion in March.

Two men wearing balaclavas, one in possession of a firearm, confronted a female staff member in the front car park after she had locked up for the night on the 19th March just before 9.30pm.

One of the men told the staff member to open the front door but ended up snatching the keys from her and opening the door himself.

Once inside a second firearm was produced and the staff member was forced to open the safe, most of the cash was then taken by the men.

The female then had her hands bound with tape behind her back and over her mouth and was ordered to count to ten while the men fled through the front door.

The female, who was not injured, managed to free herself and called police immediately.

Albion armed robbery

Police have released CCTV footage following an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in Derrimut last month.

A man entered the fast food outlet on Elgar Road just before 8.30am on Friday 10 October.

He ordered a meal and when it came time to pay he produced a knife and demanded cash.

He then grabbed some cash out of the open register and fled the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 183cm tall and solid build.

He was wearing a black coloured jacket, black tracksuit pants, a black cap and sunglasses.

Police have also released an image of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Brimbank Embona Taskforce detectives are investigating the armed robbery and appeal for any witnesses to come forward.

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives are interviewing a man following an alleged armed robbery at a Morwell fast food restaurant last night.

The incident occurred at a restaurant on McDonald Street about 8.20pm.

No injuries were reported.

A 40-year-old Morwell man was arrested overnight and is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves attempted to ram their car into a Seymour shop early Sunday morning.

It is believed a dark blue Ford station wagon was used to crash through the front doors of the electrical store on Station Street around 4.45am.

The offenders were unsuccessful in gaining entry and drove away from the scene empty handed.

Investigators have released an image of the vehicle and are keen to speak to any witnesses.

Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a robbery which took place at a Bendigo East post office this morning.

Police have been told that a man entered the McIvor Street post office about 9.50am.

The man approached the male attendant and made a demand for cash.

He was given an amount of cash and ran from the store.

He was last seen running along Murphy Street.

There were no other customers in the store and the post office employee was not injured.

The man is described as being aged between 25-30, with a slight build, 175-178cm tall and unshaven with a ruddy complexion.
