Police are investigating after a video store was robbed at Kallangur last night.

Around 9pm a man armed with a knife entered the Anzac Avenue business and demanded money from the staff member.

After taking cash the man then ran from the store and was last seen running towards Andrews Street.

The staff member and a customer in the store at the time were not physically harmed.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall and of thin build. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket, dark coloured trousers, gloves and had a black cloth over his face.

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred last night at Parafield Gardens. At about 9.35pm, a man armed with a meat cleaver entered the Atlantic Video Store on Martins Road and demanded money. He escaped with an amount of cash, and ran to a light blue Toyota sedan waiting nearby, driven by a second man. The car was last seen heading north on Martins Road. No one was injured during the incident. Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding an armed robbery in Mindarie on Sunday 21 April 2013.

About 9pm a man entered the Video Ezy store on Bergen Way, Mindarie and walked behind the counter where two female staff members were working. There were no customers

present at the time. The offender pushed and punched the first staff member a number of times, causing her to fall to the ground. He then threatened the second staff member, claiming he had a knife, and forced her to get on the ground. He stole an amount of cash and ran from the store.

The offender is described as 20 – 30 years old, approximately 180 – 182cm tall, with tanned/dark skin, of solid build with brown hair. At the time of the offence he was wearing

kahki shorts with white material wrapped around the lower part of his legs (possibly to conceal a tattoo or other identifying feature), a dark jacket and blue hat.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of an Elanora video store last night.

Around 7pm, a man entered the business at a K P McGrath Drive shopping complex armed with a knife.

He threatened the male staff member and made demands for cash.

The staff member complied and the man fled the scene on a bicycle.

It is believed he may have been in the company of another person.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 190cm tall and of a slim build.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper with a white motif, black track suit pants and white shoes.

Elizabeth CIB Detectives are investigating robbery of a movie rental shop last night at Craigmore.

Just before 8.30pm, two men armed with a machete and meat cleaver threatened staff at the Blockbuster shop on Yorktown Road stealing cash from the till.

The two suspects are described as men of Caucasian appearance wearing dark clothing and hooded tops.  They left the area in a grey or dark green Holden Apollo or Camry.

There were no injuries.

Police are appealing for public assistance after an armed robbery at a video store in Banora Point yesterday.

About 8pm (Monday 28 January 2013), a woman was working at the video store on Leisure Point.

A man has entered the store and approached the counter, carrying a bag.

He showed the employee a handgun and demanded she put money from the till into his bag.

He left the store on foot with the money and police were called.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries into the robbery are continuing.

The man has been described as Caucasian in appearance, about 35 years old, 173cms tall with light coloured hair cut very short and he was wearing a blue t-shirt.

At about 8.30pm yesterday a man entered the Blockbuster video store at Gawler and threatened a staff member with a knife.

The man demanded money before leaving on foot with a small amount of cash.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

The male is described as Caucasian with an olive complexion and shoulder length black hair tied in a pony-tail, with a thin black beard and moustache.

He is aged in his mid to late twenties, about 175cm tall with a thin build and a gaunt appearance.

He was wearing a chequered hoodie top, black track pants, a black baseball cap and dark sunglasses.

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a video store in Lane Cove yesterday.

Shortly before 4.30pm (Thursday 24 January 2013), a man entered the store on Longueville Road, armed with a firearm.

He threatened the female employee with the gun and demanded money from the register.

The man took cash before fleeing the premises.

Police from North Shore Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by the forensic armed robbery unit.

The man has been described as being in his late 20s to early 30s, 183cm tall with a tanned complexion. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue shirt and light-coloured shorts.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect from an aggravated robbery at Paralowie.

On Thursday, 20 September 2012 a man entered the Civic Video store on Bolivar Road armed with a knife, and demanded money.

The man fled with an amount of cash, and was last seen running away from the store, across the reserve behind the Settlers Farm Shopping Centre.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 180 centimetres tall, medium build, unshaven, and was wearing a grey/black hooded jumper, dark sunglasses and a green/grey beanie.

 

 

 

On the 22nd of November 2012, a 16 year old male youth was arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery.

About 12.00pm on Tuesday the 20th of November 2012, the youth entered the Chinese Circulation Therapy, Elizabeth St, Launceston, armed with knife. He demanded money from an employee and subsequently ran from the store with a quantity of cash.

About 10.30pm on Wednesday the 21st of November 2012, the youth entered Video City, Bathurst St, Launceston, armed with a knife. He produced the knife to an employee behind the service desk and demanded money from the till. He subsequently ran from the store with a quantity of cash.

The youth was arrested by uniform police a short time later.

He is to appear in the Youth Justice Court on the 22nd of November 2012.
