Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Fortitude Valley this morning.

Around 2.20am a man entered the Ann Street business, approached a 28-year-old male shop attendant and produced a weapon resembling an electric conductive device.

He then demanded the attendant hand over the store till.

The attendant complied, and the man fled the shop carrying the till tray which contained a sum of cash.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 165cms tall with a solid build and was wearing light coloured shorts, a dark t-shirt and a green army camouflage balaclava covering his face.

It is believed the man may have also been travelling in a silver Holden Astra (pictured).

Police are appealing for anyone with further information regarding the incident to come forward.

Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist us with our enquiries.

     

Police have charged a man over an alleged armed robbery on the Northern Beaches earlier this month.

About 11am on Wednesday 11 July 2018, police will allege a man, armed with a baton, threatened a staff member at a convenience store on Frenchs Forest Road East at Frenchs Forest.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

A 22-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken to a police station before he was taken to hospital for assessment.

Yesterday (Friday 20 July 2018), officers arrested the man at hospital and he was taken to Manly Police Station.

He was charged with assault with intent to rob armed with offensive weapon and refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 21 July 2018).

Cigarettes and cash were stolen during an armed robbery of a Wavell Heights convenience store this evening.

Around 6.35pm a man entered the Shaw Road business threatening a 64-year-old male employee with a knife before fleeing on foot.

The man was last seen running on Vale Street where it is believed he entered a vehicle driven by an unknown person. A dog was also believed to be in the vehicle. No further descriptions are available.

The man is described as approximately 175cms tall with a proportionate build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black sunglasses, red bandana and gloves and long black trousers. He was carrying two black shopping bags.

Anyone with any information, or any residents / businesses in the vicinity with CCTV, are asked to contact police.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

At around 5.30pm a man entered the Trevally Crescent armed with a small axe, threw a bag on the counter and demanded money from a female attendant.

A second female attendant confronted the man with a cardboard box and he grabbed the bag a ran out of the store empty handed.

The man was last seen entering a white SUV which then drove off.

He is described as, 170 to 180 centimetres tall, with a slim build and wearing a blue hoodie with the hood over his head, dark track pants and black shoes.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man or has more information to contact them.

Police are appealing for public assistance after bandits robbed a convenience store in Niddrie last night.

Police have been told four males with their faces covered entered a convenience store on Keilor Road about 10.30pm.

It is believed two males produced a firearm and an axe before making demands for cigarettes.

Cigarettes and a mobile phone were stolen and the offenders fled the scene.

They were last seen driving away in a dark coloured sedan.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Investigators believe the same offenders attempted to rob a convenience store in Bundoora about 9.30pm and a store in Keilor just before 10pm.

Detectives are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone in the area at the time.

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Bethania yesterday afternoon.

Around 5.45pm three men armed with baseball bats confronted an employee of the Station Road business before demanding he handover money.

The staff member complied with their demands and the trio fled the scene with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

No one was injured during the incident.

The three men were all wearing dark hooded jumpers and gloves.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is urged to contact police.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Northcote convenience store which occurred earlier this month.

It is understood a balaclava-clad woman entered the store on Victoria Road about 4.15pm on 14 June.

The woman produced a knife and demanded cash from the attendant, before fleeing on a blue bicycle with a small amount of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives have released an image of a similar looking bicycle the offender was riding and an image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

 

Detectives have charged a woman following investigations into the armed robbery of a convenience store in Clayfield on June 3.

It will be alleged at 6am, a woman wearing a blonde wig and armed with a knife confronted the female store attendant of the Sandgate Road business before demanding cash from the till.

It will be further alleged the woman left the store with a sum of cash.

A 25-year-old Clayfield woman has been remanded in custody to reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 2 charged with armed robbery and face marked, blackend or disguised with intent commit indictable offence.
