Crimes related to Liquor Stores

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Helensvale that occurred last night.

Around 7.30pm, two men armed with firearms entered the Monterey Key Drive business and threatened the male employee.

The men took a sum of cash and a bottle of alcohol before fleeing the store on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

One man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm tall with a slim build, dark brown hair, and brown eyes.

The second man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall with a proportionate build.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged a 30-year-old Gympie man following the armed robbery of a liquor store in Bray Park this afternoon.

At around 4.20pm a man entered the Kensington Way shop, where he allegedly smashed a glass bottle and used it to threaten the male attendant while making demands for cash.

Police attended while the man was still in the shop and he was subsequently arrested.

The man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Pine River Magistrates Court on January 6.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred earlier tonight in Camira.

Shortly before 7pm, a man has entered a bottle shop in Old Logan Road.

He produced a knife and demanded cash from the attendant, who has handed him a sum of money before he fled the scene on foot.

He was last seen running towards Addison Street.

The attendant wasn’t physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance and was wearing a grey hooded jumper, black pants and was wearing a balaclava.

Investigations are continuing.

A bottle shop at Angle Vale was robbed last night just after 8.30pm. A man armed with a small axe entered the BWS store on Heaslip Road, and demanded money. He fled with an amount of cash and two bottles of alcohol, and was last seen running away from the store. No one was injured during the incident. A boy has been arrested and other suspects are being sought by police after a robbery at a bottle shop at Woodville last night. At about 5.30pm, four male youths entered the bottle shop area of the Woodville Tavern and stole alcohol. They also assaulted two staff members during the incident. The staff members suffered minor injuries. A 14-year-old boy from Woodville Park was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, unlawfully on premises, and hinder, resist and assault police. He was refused bail and will appear in court on Monday. The second suspect is described as possibly Caucasian, about 175cm tall, slim build, with a purple cast on his left forearm, and was wearing a white shirt and black hat with a Boston Red Sox logo. The third suspect is described as Aboriginal, 70 kg, 190 cm tall, fair complexion, slim build, wearing light-coloured t-shirt. Police are searching for two men following the armed robbery of a liquor store at the corner of Joseph Banks Avenue and College Avenue.

About 7.30pm, two men armed with knives entered the store and threatened an employee while demanding cash.

After removing a sum of cash from the register, the men fled on foot.

They are described as having a tanned complexion and aged in their twenties.

Sturt Police have released a security photo of a man sought following an aggravated robbery at Edwardstown last Friday. Just before 5pm on Friday 29 November, two young men entered a liquor on Cross Road and stole two bottles of liquor. Before leaving the shop, the two men made verbal threats to the young staff member. Police are investigating the armed robbery of a liquor store at Meadowbank, in Sydney’s northwest, last night.

About 8pm (Friday 15 November 2013), a man entered the store on Railway Road with his face concealed and armed with a firearm.

The man threatened the 41-year-old male attendant, demanding money.

A single shot was fired in the store, before the man fled the location with cash and alcohol.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Police were alerted and officers from Ryde Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

An investigation into the incident is underway and police are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the man involved.

He’s described as wearing all black clothing.

Police have released images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Just before 9pm last night, a male allegedly armed with a knife threatened staff in the bottle shop of the Alberton hotel. He made demands for cash and then grabbed the cash drawer before running off along Port Road. Some money was found on the footpath and returned and fortunately the victim wasn’t injured.
