Police have released vision of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation of a robbery of a petrol station at Southport on Monday.
Just before 9pm, a man entered the Ferry Road business and jumped the counter while brandishing a metal bar.
He demanded the two employees open the cash register before leaving the store with a sum of cash.
While leaving the business, the man approached a woman who was inside her car which was parked on Zircon Street.
The man attempted to open the driver’s side door however the woman managed to drive away before he could enter the vehicle.
She returned a short time later returned and spoke with police at the scene.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Police are investigating a robbery which occurred at Aberfoyle Park this morning.
Just before 5.20am, Sunday 5 November, patrols were called to Sandpiper Drive after a man entered a service station and threatened staff with a weapon demanding cash and cigarettes.
The man left the service station on foot running east toward Hub Drive with an amount of cash and cigarettes. Police patrols and PD Marley are currently searching the area but have been unable to locate the man at this time.
No one was physically injured and investigations are continuing.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, thin build, 170cm tall. He was wearing a dark clothing and had a hooded jumper, with the hood over his head.

Police are appealing for information following three armed robberies in the Sydney metropolitan area that are believed to be linked.
In the first incident, a man entered a store on Hoxton Park Road, Prestons, armed with a firearm just before 9pm yesterday (Wednesday 8 November 2017).
The man reportedly fired shots while threatening staff, before fleeing the scene empty handed.
Police were called to a second incident about 2.30am today (Thursday 9 November 2017), and told a man entered the service station on Wallgrove Grove, Eastern Creek, armed with a firearm.
The man reportedly threatened an employee before stealing cash and cigarettes, and fleeing the scene.
A short time later, police were called to a service station on Elizabeth Drive, Kemps Creek, following reports a man armed with a firearm entered the store and threatened staff.
Officers were told the man stole cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.
Local police established crime scenes at each of the locations, which have been examined by specialist forensic officers.
No one was injured during the incidents.
Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad have established Strike Force Adderstone to investigate the incidents, which are believed to be linked.
Robbery and Serious Crime Squad Commander, Detective Acting Superintendent Mick Banfield, said investigators are exploring the links between the incidents.
“Strike Force Adderstone detectives are appealing for information from the community, particularly anyone who may have been in or around the locations, and has not yet spoken to police,” Det A/Supt Banfield said.
“The description of the man and vehicle we have from witnesses to each incident is strikingly similar, and we’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen something suspicious.
“The man has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a medium build, and between 170cm and 180cm tall, and he left each scene in a silver vehicle.
“Investigators are piecing together the vehicle’s movements throughout the evening, but given the short timeframe between the last two incidents, we’d anticipate the vehicle may have been travelling at speed, which another motorist may have noticed – we’d love to hear from them.
“As you may be able to appreciate, we are only in the early stages of the investigation, so we have limited information at hand; anyone who has information that may assist with our inquiries is urged to get in touch,” Det A/Supt Banfield said.

About 9.40pm (Monday 6 November 2017), two men entered a service station on Watkins Street, one armed with a metal pole.
They approached the counter where they threatened the 25-year-old employee demanding cash and cigarettes.
The employee complied and handed over an amount of cash from the till along with cigarettes.
The pair left the store and were last seen running north towards The Junction.
Police from Newcastle attended the scene and commenced an inquiry.
One of the men has been described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in his mid twenties with a medium build and about 185cm tall.
He was wearing dark long pants with a dark jacket, a black beanie and had a red cloth covering his face. He was armed with a metal bar.
The second man has been described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in his mid twenties with a medium build and about 175cm tall.
He was wearing grey long pants with a black hooded jumper and he had a black and grey cloth covering his face.
The employee was not injured during the incident and police are now seeking anyone who may have information that could assist.

A man has been charged in relation to the armed robbery of a service station near Tamworth in July.
About 6.10am on Thursday 13 July 2017 two men dressed in dark clothing entered a service station on Armidale Road, Nemingha, armed with a crow bar.
They threatened the service station attendant and were handed an amount of cash. They also forced open an ATM at the store and stole the cash box.
One the men entered the kitchen of the store and stole the attendant’s handbag containing keys and cash.
They left the scene in a vehicle which was last seen heading north on the New England Highway.
Police from Oxley Local Area Command commenced Strike Force Granary to investigate the incident.
As a result of inquiries, about 12.05pm today (Friday 27 October 2017), a 28-year-old man was arrested at Newcastle Police Station.
He was charged with robbery armed with offensive implement; break and enter (x2); take and drive conveyance (x2); and larceny.
The man, who was already in custody for other matters, will appear in court on Monday 30 October 2017 in relation to these charges.
Strike Force inquiries continue to identify further suspects.

CCTV footage shows the offender entering a service station on Elgin Street at about 12:35pm on 4 August.
The unidentified man was armed with a large knife and made demands for money.
The attendant activated the security system and the male left the scene empty handed on a bicycle.
On the same day at about 1:45pm the same unidentified male entered a post office on Queens Parade, Clifton Hill.
Armed with the large knife the offender demanded cash.
Employees complied with his demands and handed over an amount of money before the offender decamped on a bicycle.
The offender was wearing a white hooded top with a black and green motif on the front, blue jeans; black gloves a black balaclava and a silver bicycle helmet.
A man armed with a knife stole cash and cigarettes from a Varsity Lakes business this evening (October 17).
Around 9.10pm the man entered a Burmuda Street service station where he threatened a 24-year-old male employee before fleeing on foot with the stolen property. He was last seen crossing Bermuda Street and heading towards Cassowary Drive.
He is described as having a dark complexion and possible of Indian descent, and possibly aged in his mid-20s to 30. He was wearing a hooded jumper and a hi-vis shirt and mask over his face.
No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.
