Detectives investigating the attempted armed robbery of a service station at North Lakes on Monday night have released CCTV images of the incident as they continue to seek public assistance with the matter.
Around 11pm on May 18, a man stood outside the Flinders Parade store before producing a knife and making gestures for the employee to open the doors.
The attendant refused to allow him access and the man fled the scene on foot.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 190cm tall with an average build. He was wearing a dark jacket, blue trousers or jeans, a blue shirt, light coloured beanie and was carrying a black bag.
Detectives are investigating whether the same man is responsible for any other similar incidents in the area and are appealing for anyone who may recognise him or his clothing to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
At about 8pm, a man entered the service station on Hutt Street, Adelaide, and stole cash and cigarettes, before fleeing on foot. The attendant was not injured during the robbery.
Police patrols searched the area and located a man matching the description of the suspect in a nearby service station on Pulteney Street, just before 9pm.
The 18-year-old Aldinga Beach man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and breach of bail. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Gold Coast detectives are investigating after a man armed with an edged weapon attempted to rob a Pacific Pines service station early this morning before violently attacking and robbing a taxi driver.
Around 3.25am the man entered the service station on Binstead Way before threatening a male attendant with the edged weapon and making demands for cash.
The attendant took refuge in a back room and the man fled the scene on foot.
The attendant was not injured during the incident.
The man is described as being 180cm tall, thin build and wearing shorts, a blue, black and white spray jacket and canvas shoes.
Just before 4am police were also called to an address at Helensvale following reports that a taxi driver was assaulted and robbed by a man matching the same description.
The man who was armed with an edged weapon set upon the male taxi driver who was stationary on Warrago Way, assaulting him on the head before fleeing with a sum of cash.
The taxi driver suffered a laceration to his head and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

About 4.15am, police from Blacktown LAC attended a service station on Richmond Road following reports an armed hold-up.
Initial investigations suggest two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the service station before allegedly threatening the attendant and demanding cash.
One of the men allegedly hit the attendant in the back of the head, before an amount of cash and cigarettes was taken and the pair fled the scene.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
Police are hoping to speak with two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.
One man is described as African in appearance, 175 to 180cm tall, with an athletic build. He was wearing a black bucket-style hat, black and white chequered long-sleeve shirt, light coloured cargo pants, joggers, and was carrying a handgun.
The other man is described as African in appearance, 180 to 185cm tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, blue vest, and white shoes.
Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station at Nambucca Heads last night.
Shortly after 7pm (Tuesday 12 May 2015), a man entered the back door of the Mann Street service station as the attendant was taking rubbish outside.
The man pushed the attendant over and threatened her with scissors while demanding cash.
She was able to get up and ran back into the store with the man following her to the console area.
A short time later the man fled the location with an amount of cash and the attendant’s wallet.
Nambucca Police were contacted and launched an investigation into the incident. A crime scene was established at the service station and was examined by detectives.
Police also conducted extensive patrols of the surrounding area; however the man was not located.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist in the investigation.
The man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance and about 160cm tall with a muscular build.
He was last seen wearing lime green coloured shorts, a black and white striped hooded jumper and brown coloured ‘skate’ shoes. He also wore white gloves, sunglasses and an ‘Australian Flag’ bandana covering the lower half of his face.
Detectives have charged three people over multiple alleged armed robberies across Sydney’s west.
Since April 2015, six armed robberies occurred in the Mount Druitt, St Marys and Blacktown local area commands.
The robberies, involving two to four armed offenders, took place at licensed premises, pizza stores and service stations.

The 17-year-old, from Hebersham, was charged with five counts of robbery armed with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon.
He appeared in court yesterday where he was remanded in custody to appear in a children’s court on Friday (15 May 2015).
The 21-year-old was charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery while armed with an offensive weapon.
The 58-year-old was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery while armed with offensive weapon.
The men, both from Hebersham, appeared in court yesterday and were remanded in custody to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday 26 June 2015.

Three males have been charged following an alleged armed robbery at Tuggerah at the weekend.
About 6.20pm (Sunday 10 May 2015), three males allegedly entered a service station on Gavenlock Road, one of whom was armed with a knife.
The males allegedly threatened the attendant, a 22-year-old man, and took cash, cigarettes and food before fleeing the location.
No one was injured during the incident.
Witnesses saw the trio board a bus at the rear of Tuggerah Railway Station.
Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command were contacted and stopped the bus about 6.40pm.
The three males were arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station.
A number of items, believed to have been stolen, were also seized from nearby bushland, which will undergo forensic examination.
The males, aged 23, 18 and 13, were charged with robbery in company and refused bail.
The two older males are due to appear before Wyong Local Court today (Monday 11 May 2015); while the 13-year-old boy will appear before Children’s Court today.

After taking cash the man left business and was last seen running south on Lutwyche Road.
The male attendant was not physically harmed.
The man is described as Caucasian, 180cm tall and of average build.

Police will allege that the man entered the business around 1.30am armed with a knife, demanding money and cigarettes.

An 18-year-old Sherwood man has been charged with armed robbery, enter with intent and possess utensils or pipes.
He is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The man is described as approximately 175cm-185cm tall, of slim build with a tan complexion and was last seen wearing a dark jacket, grey track pants with white stripes, green and blue shoes, a black Nike baseball cap with a black and white cloth covering his face and carrying a black satchel bag.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
