Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Zillmere early this morning.

At around 2:15am a man entered the business on Handford Road armed with a handgun.

The man demanded money from a male staff member before fleeing the scene in the company of a second man, who had been waiting outside the store while the robbery occurred.

The two men were last seen running north along Hanford Road.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

One of the men is described as approximately 180cm tall and wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and jeans.

The other man is described as being approximately 170cm tall, of a solid build and wearing a dark hoodie with cream shorts.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

Police have charged a 28-year-old man following the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store at Cotton Tree on Sunday night.

It will be alleged around 7.30pm a man threatened an employee with a knife before stealing a sum of cash from the till.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

A 28-year-old man was today arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery.

He is expected to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police are searching for a man who held up a coffee shop at Caloundra last night.

Just before 9pm, a man armed with a tomahawk, threatened staff at the Park Place store, demanding they handover cash from the till.

The employee complied and the man fled with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being about 30 years old with a tanned complexion, solid build and a black beard.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper with white text and black jeans.

Shortly before 3.30pm, a man entered the Oxley Avenue business and threatened the female employee with a knife while demanding money from the cash register.

The man took the contents from the till before fleeing the store.

The staff member was not injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall with a proportionate build.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour at the time or has further information to come forward.

Detectives from the Ipswich Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a 14-year-old boy following the alleged attempted armed robbery of a Riverview supermarket yesterday afternoon, (September 25).

It will be alleged a teenage boy entered the Mitchell Street business around 2.40pm armed with a knife. The youth demanded cash and cigarettes from two employees, a 38-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man. He fled the store empty handed when the pair refused to comply.

A 14-year-old boy from Brassall was later arrested and charged with one count of attempted armed robbery.

No one was physically injured.

Around 1.20am, the man walked onto the grounds of the Barry Parade business and placed a suspicious looking device next to a petrol pump.

He then walked inside and threatened the attendant to give him money from the cash register.

The 50-year-old man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and bomb hoax.

He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court later this morning.

A 50-year-old Fortitude Valley man is assisting police with inquiries following an incident at a service station earlier this morning.

At around 1.20am, a man walked onto the grounds of the Barry Parade business and placed a suspicious looking device next to a petrol pump.

He then walked inside and threatened the attendant to give him money from the cash register.

The male attendant complied and it is believed the man then left in a taxi with the money and goods from the premises.

Officers located the man near the corner of Brookes Street and St Paul’s Terrace and he was taken into custody.

The Explosive Ordinance Response Team (EORT) inspected the device and declared it non-suspicious just before 5am.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

Brisbane detectives have charged a 19-year-old Caboolture man over the alleged armed robbery of a Zillmere restaurant on Sunday, September 23.

The man was arrested this afternoon and has been charged with several offences including armed robbery, dangerous conduct with a weapon, enter premises and commit an indictable offence, obstruct police and trespass.

He was denied police bail and is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow.

He then produced a weapon resembling a pistol and threatened the male store keeper.

The man took the contents from the till before fleeing the scene on foot towards Handford Road.

Police would like to speak to a man described as approximately 175 centimetres, Caucasion with an olive complexion, aged in his mid-20s with a slim build, and brown curly hair.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour at the time or has further information to come forward.

A boy has been charged following investigations into the armed robbery of a restaurant in Kirwan last night.

At 7pm, two boys entered the Thuringowa Drive address, allegedly armed with a screwdriver and a pair of scissors and made threats towards staff and customers.

It will further be alleged the pair took bottles spirits from the restaurant shelves and removed money from the cash register.

Both boys left the address, however one was located in a nearby backyard a short time later.

It will be alleged the same boy was also involved in a similar incident in Thuringowa Central at around 4pm yesterday where two bottles of alcohol were stolen from a business on High Range Drive.

A 16-year-old Kirwan boy has been charged with two counts each of armed robbery and enter with intent.

Investigations are continuing.
