Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store this evening.

Around 6.15pm, a man entered the Richmond Road store and threatened the assistant with a pocket knife.

He demanded money and tobacco products before leaving the store in an unknown direction.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.

Detectives from the Logan District Robbery Task Force have charged a man following investigations into an armed robbery at a Springwood takeaway shop on September 15.

Police will allege at around 7.20pm a man entered the business on Achillies Drive and approached the counter.

He allegedly produced a replica handgun, threatened a male employee and demanded money before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

At around 12:45pm this afternoon police took a man into custody at an address in Rochedale South.

A 24-year-old Rochedale South man has been charged with armed robbery.

He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 18.

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Springwood takeaway food shop last night.

At around 7.20pm a man entered the business on Achillies Drive and approached the counter.

He then produced what appeared to be a replica handgun, threatened a male employee and demanded money.

The man stole a sum of cash before fleeing the premises on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance with a New Zealand accent, solid build and was wearing a black bucket hat with a green logo on it, black long sleeve shirt, light coloured knee-length shorts and black runners.

Investigations are continuing.

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Woodridge this afternoon.

Just after 5pm a group of four teenagers, one of whom was armed with a knife, entered the business on Smith Road.

The group demanded money from a male staff member before leaving with a sum of cash and quantity of cigarettes.

The teenagers  fled the scene in a black Holden HSV, which had been reported stolen from Marsden and had also been sighted in Algester this afternoon.

The male staff member received minor bruising during the robbery.

The vehicle is described as a black 2003 Holden HSV Clubsport (similar to pictured) with Queensland registration 276-TKU.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

Police are investigating after an armed man attempted to rob a service station in Warner early this morning.

Shortly after 1am the man entered the business on Old North Road and produced a small axe, demanding money.

The 18-year-old male store attendant ran out the back of the shop and locked the door.

The man then fled the scene empty-handed.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late teens or early 20’s and was dressed in long dark clothing.

Anyone who may have seen the man or have further information is being urged to contact police.

Detectives from the Logan District Robbery Taskforce have charged a man following ongoing investigations into the alleged attempted robbery of a Crestmead grocery store on June 28.

It will be alleged that shortly before 8pm, a man entered the business on Julie Street armed with a small axe.

He allegedly threatened the attendant with the axe and demanded cash before the attendant then threw a number of cans of tuna at him.

The man fled the scene on foot empty-handed.

No one was physically injured as a result.

A 23-year-old Kingston man was today arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery and two counts of fraud.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (September 13).

It will be alleged just after 6pm a man threatened a female employee demanding she hand over cash at the Bryant Street store.

The attendant complied, and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.

This afternoon police located a man at a Bryant Street residence in relation to the incident.

A 26-year-old Tully man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 12.

Just after 6pm a man produced a knife and demanded a female employee hand over cash at the Bryant Street store.

The attendant complied and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, aged in his 20s with a slim build.

He was wearing a red and black hooded jumper, black pants, white running shoes and carrying a green backpack.

Anyone with information regarding the matter is urged to contact police.

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Mount Warren Park supermarket last night.

Just after 8pm, the man entered the Mount Warren Boulevard business armed with a hammer and approached the counter.

He then threatened a female employee and demanded cash.

The man stole a sum of cash and several packets of cigarettes before fleeing in a silver coloured vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged a man following the alleged robbery of a service station at Clontarf overnight.

It will be alleged at 8.30pm a man entered the MacDonnell Road business and threatened a staff member with a knife while demanding cash and cigarettes.

The staff member complied, and the man left the store on foot.

Police arrested a man who was seen running on Elizabeth Avenue a short time later.

A 20-year-old Clontarf man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and appeared in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today where he was remanded in custody to reappear again on October 18.
