Police are investigating three separate break and enters in the Logan area overnight.
The first reported incident was at a takeaway food store at Station Road, Bethania where it appears a vehicle was used to gain entry to the shop around 4.30am.
Extensive damage was caused to a metal bollard, roller door, metal bars and glass panels.
A convenience store at Queens Road, Slacks Creek had a full length glass window apparently damaged by a vehicle.
It is unknown what property may have been taken at this time.
The third incident was at an auto parts store on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Browns Plains where initial investigations suggest a vehicle may have been used to push open a roller door some time after 5.30am.
A cash register was taken but was left outside the business.
At this time there is no evidence to suggest that these matters may be linked however investigations are continuing.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around any of these businesses to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Major Crime Squad Detectives have charged a 24 year old man with the murder of Richard Tavis HOLLOWAY on Saturday 11 May 2013. The 42 year old victim was located in his Albert Street South Perth unit, on Tuesday 14 May 2013. Regional Investigations Unit officers have charged the same man after it’s alleged he was involved in four incidents.
The first occurred at 7.42pm on 12 May when it is alleged the man entered a Japanese restaurant on Belvidere Street in Belmont. He produced a firearm, and asked for food before leaving the store empty-handed. It is further alleged he then walked across the road to a burger and kebab shop, and approached the man behind the counter. He pointed a firearm at the man, and demanded money. Grabbing some cash and the till draw, he left the shop on foot towards Keymer Street.
The third incident occurred at a supermarket on Albany Highway in Victoria Park at around 2.25pm on 16 May 2013. It is alleged the man approached the checkout operator and demanded money. Holding a firearm beneath a bag, he again demanded cash before running from the shopping centre.
The fourth incident occurred at a shopping centre in West Perth at 9am on 20 May. It is alleged the man entered a sports store first, where he made no demands before leaving the
store. He then entered another nearby sports store and attempted to buy some items, but was approached by security staff. He produced a firearm, and ran from the area emptyhanded.
The 24 year old man of no fixed address has been charged with one count each of Murder; Aggravated Armed Robbery; Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery; Assault with Intent to
Prevent Arrest of a Person; Stealing; Breach of Protective Bail Conditions and two counts of Fraud. He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
Police are investigating a robbery which occurred at a fast food restaurant in Coburg last month.
Detectives have been told that a man entered the store on Sydney Road around 1.20am on 26 April.
The man approached the counter and told a female employee to place cash in a plastic bag.
She complied and the man took the bag and left the store.
He has been described as possibly Caucasian, approximately 175-180 centimeters tall with a solid build and pot belly.
At the time of the offence he was wearing dark pants, a dark long-sleeved Nike top and white runners.
The offender also used a white scarf and blue hooded top to help conceal his identity.
Police have released images of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command have established a crime scene at a fast food restaurant in Minchinbury following an armed robbery.
About 7.15pm (Wednesday 15 May, 2013), a man, who had his face covered, entered the restaurant and approached the counter.
He produced a knife and threatened a female staff member, making demands for cash.
The man stole an amount of cash from the till before running from the store.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Detectives from Mt Druitt are continuing with investigations into this incident and would like to speak with anyone who may be able to offer information that could assist.
Detectives from the Regional Investigations Unit are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into two armed robberies which they believe are linked. About 6.50pm on Monday 22 October 2012, a staff member was closing a Kingsley liquor store when he noticed a man standing outside acting suspiciously. The man covered his face with a balaclava before entering the store on Creaney Drive. He partially opened his jacket to reveal the handle of a firearm, possibly a shotgun and demanded money. The staff member complied with the man’s request and he left the store with a quantity of cash. About 10.30am on Tuesday 23 October, a man entered a fast food restaurant on Canning Highway, Palmyra. He threatened staff with a firearm and was given a sum of cash before leaving the store on foot. The man is described as fair skinned; about 173cm tall, of solid build, with blue eyes and brown facial hair that is greying. At the time of the offence he was wearing a dark jacket with a high visibility vest over the top, dark pants and black/white sneakers. He also wore a black balaclava that may have been used as a beanie.
An employee at a takeaway store in Rosebery used a bucket of chilli to defend herself from a customer who was allegedly attempting to steal money from the store’s cash register.
About 6.15pm yesterday (Sunday 5 May 2013), a man walked into the takeaway store on Gardeners Road and ordered food. Shortly after ordering, the man became involved in a verbal argument with two staff members regarding payment for the food.
The man subsequently walked behind the store’s counter, and allegedly pushed the staff members aside before attempting to open a cash register.
One of the staff members, a 40-year-old man, ran to the front of the store and called police, while the other staff member, a 27-year-old woman, attempted to stop the man from opening the cash register.
The man smashed the cash register on the floor, forcing it open, before striking the woman across the chest as she tried to stop him from getting to the money.
The 27-year-old woman then grabbed a bucket of chilli and threw it over the man’s face, instantly flooring him.
Police arrived at the scene within minutes and arrested a 24-year-old man who was lying on the shopfloor. He was taken to Mascot Police Station where he received treatment for minor burns, before being charged with assault with intent to rob.
The 24-year-old, from Tempe, was bail refused and is scheduled to appear in Waverly Local Court later today (Monday 6 May 2013).
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a takeaway sandwich store at Auburn last night.
About 7.40pm, Friday 3 May 2013, a man entered the store on Parramatta Road and opened a side door before walking behind the counter.
He approached a male staff member who was standing near the cash register and threatened him with a knife while demanding money.
The man was handed a sum of cash and fled the store on foot. He was last seen running through a car park and across Parramatta Road.
No-one was injured in the robbery and police were subsequently contacted.
Officers from Flemington Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted a search of the surrounding area with the assistance of the Dog Squad, but were unable to locate the armed man.
A crime scene was established at the premises and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Investigators are now looking for a man who has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 20 to 30 years old, 180cm tall and wearing a navy blue and fluorescent yellow hooded jacket. He also had his face covered with a black scarf.
Holden Hill Police are seeking information form the public after an armed robbery at a chicken shop on Grand Junction Road at Valley View last night.
At about 7.15pm a man wearing a balaclava, armed with a knife and iron bar, entered a take-away shop on Grand Junction Road, threatened staff and stole cash.
The suspect who fled on foot with the shop’s takings is described as a thin man about 184cms, wearing a dark blue jacket with stripes down the sleeves, grey track pants.

A man will face court today following an investigation into a robbery in Sydney’s south west.
About 9.30pm on 5 March 2013, a man entered a fast food outlet on Sappho Road, Warwick Farm.
The man threatened employees with a knife and demanded money.
He ran from the store after obtaining an amount of money and was last seen running through a nearby car park.
Following investigations into the incident, police arrested a 32-year-old man on Bigge Street, Liverpool, about 3pm yesterday (Tuesday 30 April 2013).
The man, from Greenfield Park, was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with armed robbery.
He will appear in Liverpool Local court today (Wednesday 1 May 2013).
Police are currently at the scene of an aggravated robbery at Hungry Jacks at Paralowie.
At 6.30am two men, one allegedly armed with a firearm, entered the restaurant on Liberator Drive and threatened staff.
The suspects stole cash and then ran out.
It is believed they may have ridden away on pushbikes.
The suspects are described as being Caucasian, about 183cm tall, slim build and wearing dark clothing.
Both suspects were wearing gloves and had their faces covered.
