Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an armed robbery of a discount store in Bonnyrigg yesterday.

About 4.30pm (Saturday 12 November 2016), a man entered a discount store at a shopping centre on Bonnyrigg Avenue armed with a knife.

Police have been told the armed man approached a 16-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man working in the store, threatening the pair and demanding money.

He fled the scene a short time later, taking cash.

The employees were uninjured and contacted officers from Fairfield Local Area Command, who attended and established a crime scene.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 25 and 30-years-old, of slim build, and has an “Aussie” tattoo on his right forearm.

The man was seen wearing a high-visibility work shirt and blue shorts.

Police have arrested two teenage boys after an alleged armed robbery in Marsden this morning.

Around 4.30am, two males, allegedly armed with a knife and meat cleaver entered a Browns Plains Road business threatening a female employee before fleeing with property.

The employee, a 56-year-old woman, was not physically injured.

Two 16-year-old boys from Marsden and Beaudesert were today charged with one count each of armed robbery. The pair will be dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justices Act.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance to locate a man following an armed robbery in Bomaderry today.

About 11am (Saturday 5 November 2016), police were called to a business on Meroo Road, Bomaderry.

Police have been told that a man entered the store and threatened staff with a knife.

The man took a sum of cash before fleeing the store and was last seen running down Meroo Road, in a westerly direction.

Officers attached to Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and 175cm tall. He was last seen wearing a dark blue tracksuit jacket, with dark blue and white tracksuit pants, and sunglasse

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Brighton this morning.

Around 8.50am, an unknown man threatened a man in his 60s at the office of a caravan park on Beaconsfield Terrace.

The unknown man was armed with a knife and made demands for cash before he fled the scene with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man was last seen wearing dark clothing.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged a man following two alleged armed robberies in Brisbane’s north earlier this week.

It is alleged on October 24 around 12.50pm a man armed with a knife entered a convenience store on Gympie Road at Chermside and threatened a male attendant before making demands for cash.

The attendant complied and the man allegedly fled the premises with a sum of money.

It is further alleged on October 26 around 3.30pm a man armed with a metal bar entered a newsagency on Saint Vincents Road at Banyo and threatened a male attendant before making demands for cash.

The attendant complied and the man allegedly fled the business with a sum of money.

No one was physically injured in either incident.

A 27-year-old Bracken Ridge man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance to locate a man who may be able to assist police, following an armed robbery in Wentworth Point overnight

Just before 11pm (Tuesday 1 November 2016), police were called to a store on Marine Parade, Wentworth Point.

Police have been told that whilst an employee was standing at the store counter, a man has entered the store and threatened the staff member with a baseball bat.

The man took cigarettes and a sum of cash before fleeing the store.

He was last seen running south down Marine Parade

Officers attached to Flemington Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as Mediterranean appearance, tall, slim build, with a mask hooded jumper, with trousers.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a newsagency in Banyo today.

Around 3.30pm a man armed with a metal bar entered the Saint Vincents Road store and threatened a male attendant before making demands for cash.

The 16-year-old male attendant complied with the demands and the man fled the business with a sum of money.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged three men after an alleged armed robbery in Bracken Ridge on October 16.

Around 9pm, two men allegedly armed with a knife and machete entered a Gawain Road business threatening a male employee before fleeing with cash.

The employee, a 28-year-old man, was not physically injured.

Three 22-year-old men from Deagon, Brighton and Bracken Ridge were today charged with one count each of armed robbery. They are due to appear at Sandgate Magistrates Court on October 27.

Police would like to thank members of the public and media for their assistance with this matter.

Glenorchy CIB is investigating the alleged armed robbery of the One Stop Lolly and Gift Shop in Main Road early this morning.

About 7:15am Tuesday, 25th October 2016, a female staff member at the One Stop Lolly and Gift Shop was allegedly confronted outside the shop’s rear entrance by a man armed with a knife.

The man allegedly pushed the staff member and demanded cash from the business.  The staff member complied and provided a sum of cash contained in a soft blue pencil case to the offender, who then left the store.

The staff member was understandably traumatised by the incident but not physically injured.

The robbery is being investigated by Glenorchy Criminal Investigation Branch Detectives and they would like to speak with anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious or activity in the vicinity of 326 Main Road Glenorchy early this morning.

The man is aged between 20 – 30 years, about 180 cm, wearing dark track pants and a dark hooded top and dark wrap-around sunglasses and a beanie.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man who may be able to assist police, following an armed robbery in Corowa, 50kms west of Albury.

About 6:20pm (Saturday 22 October 2016), police were called to a store on Sanger Street in Corowa.

Police have been told that whilst an employee was standing at the store counter, a man has walked behind the employee and threatened him with a knife.

The man took a sum of cash from the till before fleeing the store.

He was last seen running south down Sanger Street.

Officers attached to Albury Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as Caucasian appearance, 185cms tall, 50-60 years old, medium build, balding with grey hair and large dark eyebrows. The man was wearing a singlet with black tracksuit pants.
