Police are investigating an incident at Carindale last night.

Around 7.15pm the man was at a library on Creek Road when another man reached over his shoulder and took his wallet and phone from the desk where he was sitting. The victim gave chase before the man turned and threatened him with a knife.

The victim stopped pursuing as the man ran away on Millennium Boulevard. He was not physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, 178cm tall and of average build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and dark trousers.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at an education facility on Old Logan Road in Camira yesterday.

Around 5pm a female staff member disturbed an unknown man inside a building. The man demanded money and threatened the staff member with a letter opener. The woman activated an alarm and as a result the man assaulted the woman then fled the scene on foot empty handed.

The female staff member was treated for minor injuries to her head.

The man is described as aged in his 20’s, approximately 170cm tall with a slim build and Caucasian. He was last seen wearing a hooded jumper, sunglasses and dark coloured shorts.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a toy store in Browns Plains yesterday afternoon.

Just after 2pm a man entered the Browns Plains Road business, produced a knife and demanded cash from the female attendant.

The attendant complied with demands and the man fled the store with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 173cm tall with a slim build.

Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch yesterday arrested a man for three armed robberies that occurred in June 2015.

Police will allege the 42-year-old man was armed with a firearm when he robbed the Rose and Crown Hotel bottle shop at Elizabeth South on 1 June, the BP On The Run service station at Alberton on 2 June and the Para Hills Post office on 3 June.

The man from no fixed address appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody to appear again on 15 December.

Police have charged four males in relation to a spate of street robberies in Sydney’s west.

In July 2015, detectives from Flemington Local Area Command formed Strike Force Kurramatta to investigate several late-night street robberies in Lidcombe, Berala and Auburn which occurred throughout June and July 2015.

Police will allege the group was approaching victims and robbing them at knifepoint.

About 6am today (Thursday 8 October 2015), officers executed four search warrants on homes in Lidcombe and Berala and Campsie.

At a home in Campsie police arrested a 17-year-old. A 16-year-old was arrested at a home in Fairfield, while a 17-year-old was arrested at a home in Auburn. Two others – aged 16 and 17- were also arrested at a home in Lidcombe.

The five males were taken to Auburn Police Station.

Police are investigating at least six reported incidents and have laid the following charges in relation to four incidents.

The Campsie male was charged with robbery in company (x2). He was granted conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on Thursday 5 November 2015.

The Fairfield teen was charged with robbery in company (x2). He was granted conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on Thursday 5 November 2015.

The 16-year-old from Lidcombe was charged with robbery in company, dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and possess identity information to commit indictable offence. He was refused bail to appear before a children’s court tomorrow (Friday 9 October 2015).

The Auburn teen was charged with robbery in company (x4). He was refused bail to appear before a children’s court tomorrow (Friday 9 October 2015).

The 17-year-old teen from Lidcombe was released without charge pending further inquiries.

Investigations by Strike Force Kurramatta detectives are continuing.

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of an adult store in Coopers Plains this evening.
Around 6.55pm, a man entered the store on Beaudesert Road and approached the counter.
He produced what is believed to be a firearm and demanded cash from the attendant who complied and opened the till.
The man then fled the scene with a sum of cash and was last seen on foot on Meadow Avenue.
The female attendant wasn’t physically injured as a result of the robbery.
Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery at a post office in Broadmeadow this afternoon.

About 12.50pm (Thursday 1 October 2015) a man entered a post office on Belford Street armed with a firearm.

He approached the counter and threatened a staff member while demanding cash.

The female employee handed him an amount of cash and he ran from the store.

He has been described as being Asian in appearance, and aged between 20-30 with a tall build.

No one was hurt during the robbery, and police have established a crime scene while investigations continue.

Police are appealing for information following the attempted armed robbery of a delivery driver in Armidale yesterday.

About 8pm (Wednesday 30 September 2015), a 43-year-old man was delivering a food order to a home on Bain Crescent.

The delivery man was approached by a male on the driveway and then directed towards the house.

The delivery man was grabbed from behind by the male and told not to move. Three other males then approached the man, one of which was carrying a large piece of timber.

The delivery man was able to struggle free and ran from the males who were last seen running east towards McIntosh Street and into bushland.

Armidale Police were notified of the incident and commenced an investigation. A number of items were secured at the scene for forensic examination.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to four males who may be able to assist them.

They are all described as being between 140 to 170 cm tall with thin builds and about 12 to 15 years old.

Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery in Coffs Harbour yesterday.

About 4.40pm (Sunday 27 September 2015), a man with his face covered entered a business on West High Street armed with a knife.

Police have been told he demanded money from the owner of the store.

The owner’s 21-year-old son saw the incident unfolding and chased the man from the store.

He fled the scene towards a local school empty handed.

Officers attached to Coffs-Clarence Local Area Command arrived and a crime scene was established.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall with a slim build, wearing a black and red striped hooded jumper, black jeans and carrying a grey back pack.

A man matching this description was seen walking near Robin Street and Red Cedar Drive.

A pizza delivery driver was threatened with a pistol and a knife during an armed robbery in Bexley last night.

About 11.30pm (Friday 19 September 2015), a 22-year-old pizza delivery driver attended Monomeeth Street, Bexley, after being called for a delivery.

As he was about to return to the store, he was approached by three men. The delivery driver handed the men the pizzas before one of the men produced a knife and another produced a gun, described as a black pistol.

The men threatened him with the weapons, demanding cash. The victim handed over a small amount of cash before leaving the scene and reporting the incident when he reached the pizza store.

Police, including the Dog Squad, immediately responded to Monomeeth Street and searched for the three men but they couldn’t be located.

Detectives from St George Local Area Command commenced an inquiry into the incident.

The man with the knife is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early 20s, about 170cm tall, with a small patch of hair under his bottom lip. He was wearing a maroon hooded jumper, black track pants and white sneakers.

The man with the gun is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early 20s, slightly shorter than the other male, wearing a black hooded jumper and white pants.

The third male is only described as aged in his mid teens, short in height and skinny.
