Western Adelaide Police are currently searching the Ferryden Park area after a man robbed the Ferryden Park Post Office a short time ago. Just before 11am, a man wearing a balaclava and armed with knife threatened staff and customers at the Post Office on Ridley Grove, fleeing with cash in a waiting white Nissan driven by a second man. Detectives from Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit have released images of a man they wish to speak with following an armed robbery at a store in Bendigo on Wednesday night.
The man entered the Queen Street store around 8.15pm on 25 September wearing a black hooded jumper and his face covered.
He approached the female attendant and made demands for cash, threatening her with a knife.
She handed over a quantity of money and he left the store.
The woman was not injured during the incident
Police have released the below images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
In the outside image the camera has distorted the colour of his jumper to grey, however it is black or a dark colour.

Police are investigating after a Kingston tobacconist was robbed last night.

Around 8.30pm a man entered the Ashton Street business and produced what appeared to be a firearm, demanding money from the female attendant.

After taking cash the man has then run from the store. He was initially chased by a male employee from a nearby business but he managed to escape and was last seen on Spruce Street.

No one was physically harmed during the incident.

The man is described as 180cm tall, of Caucasian appearance with blonde hair and aged in his early 20s. He was wearing a blue hooded jumper, trousers and white shoes.

Detectives are investigating whether this matter is linked to an earlier armed robbery at Jacaranda Avenue.

Police have charged a 25-year-old Bracken Ridge man following investigations into the armed robbery of a Telegraph Road business earlier this morning.

Police will allege the man entered the Bracken Ridge store around 12.16am wearing a motorcycle helmet, threatened the attendant with a knife and demanded money.

The man fled west on foot with cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on September 20 where he will face a charge of armed robbery.

Police have arrested two people over armed robberies at Roseville and Revesby earlier this week.

A 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested at a fast food restaurant at Kirrawee about 11pm (Tuesday 24 September 2013), by police from Sutherland Local Area Command.

Police will allege during their arrest and transfer to Sutherland Police Station, the couple bit, kicked, punched and/or scratched seven police officers.

A shortened shotgun, cash and clothing were allegedly found when police searched the couple’s bags, and officers from the Metropolitan Armed Robbery Unit (MRU) – who are investigating this week’s armed robberies at Roseville and Revesby – were alerted.

The MRU last night took over the investigation into the alleged car-jacking of a man at Lane Cove, and the robberies of a Roseville cinema and a hotel at Revesby.

Police yesterday appealed for public assistance to locate three men and a woman who they believed could assist with their investigations into the incidents.

After last night’s arrest, the couple were taken to Sutherland Police Station. The man has been charged with:

Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm

Possess ammunition without holding a licence

Robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon x 2

Damage property by fire

Unlawfully take/drive motor vehicle

Deal with identity information to commit indictable offence

Assault police x 7

He will also face further charges following an incident at Dee Why on 19 September, 2013:

Intimidate police officer in execution of duty

Threaten injury to person with intent to prevent lawful detention

Custody of a knife in a public place

Assault police

The woman remains in police custody and is expected to be charged later today.

Both are expected to be refused bail and will appear in Sutherland Local Court tomorrow.

 

Police are still seeking to identify two other men believed involved in the incidents.

Police from North Shore Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery that occurred in a cinema at Roseville earlier tonight.

Shortly after 8pm, (Monday 23 September 2013), four people entered a cinema complex on the Pacific Highway armed with a shotgun and a machete.

They threatened a number of movie goers, demanding their property, as well as staff working at the sales desk

The four offenders left the premises with an amount of cash, but failed to obtain any personal belongings from patrons.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery

They were last seen getting into a 2003 blue Nissan Pulsar, registration number YTG-582, which was stolen from a Lane Cove address earlier tonight.

A crime scene has been established at the cinema complex, and First Avenue, Lane Cove.

Detectives from North Shore have commenced an investigation and would like to speak with anyone who may be able to assist their investigation.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Regents Park yesterday.

About 12pm (Thursday 19 September 2013), a man entered a store on Amy Street armed with a firearm.

The man threatened the shop attendant with the weapon, while removing cash from the register.

He later fled the store and was last seen running north on Amy Street. No one was injured during the incident.

Officers attached to Flemington Local Area Command were called and launched an investigation into the incident.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.

Police now wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man has been described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, 20-30 years of age, clean shaven and with a black leaf tattoo on the back of his neck.

He was last seen wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt, dark-coloured shorts with a white pattern around the bottom, a dark-coloured baseball cap, a bum bag and sneakers.

 

Police are continuing to pursue a number of lines of inquiry in relation to the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.

A man will face court today following an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s south-west.

About 6.20pm yesterday (Thursday 19 September 2013), a man allegedly entered a newsagency on Maclaurin Avenue, Bankstown, and threatened a 48-year-old male employee with a firearm, before demanding money.

A short time later, the alleged offender ran from the store empty-handed and was chased by the employee and a nearby witness.

The victims were allegedly threatened with the firearm again, and the offender managed to escape after he got into a silver vehicle which drove away.

Police were called to the location and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, police attended a house on Sewell Avenue, Padstow Heights, about 1.10am today (Friday 20 September 2013) where they arrested a 19-year-old man.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with armed robbery with an offensive weapon, assault with offensive weapon and stealing.

He was refused bail and will appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 20 September 2013).

Inquiries into the incident continue.

A Booval adult shop was robbed by a man armed with a gun earlier this evening.

Around 8.50pm the armed man entered the Brisbane Road store and threatened staff before fleeing with a sum of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Then man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 180cms tall and had a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a balaclava and a hooded jumper.

Police investigations are continuing.

Brimbank Embona Taskforce detectives have made an arrest in relation to an armed robbery which occurred in Sunshine on 10 September.
A 42-year-old St Albans man was arrested earlier today and has been charged with armed robbery.
He will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ court later today.
