Police have charged a man over the armed robbery of an adult shop at Charlestown in February of this year.

About 8pm on Wednesday 20 February 2013, two males entered an adult store on the Pacific Highway.

Police will allege that the 20-year-old female shop employee was threatened with an axe and handed over a quantity of cash.

Investigators from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command arrested an 18-year-old man at Charlestown Police Station yesterday.

He was later charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.

The man, who it will be alleged was a juvenile at the time of the offence, was granted bail to appear at Broadmeadow Children’s Court on 30 September.

Police from Bankstown Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery in Bass Hill overnight.

About 7pm, (Monday 9 September, 2013), a man approached the locked front glass door of a massage parlour on Cann Street.

The man, who was wearing a black hooded jumper and black jeans, produced a black handgun and threatened the 29-year-old female employee who was sitting behind the counter, yelling at her to open the door.

The employee ran out the back of the premises as the man kicked in the front door, grabbing the woman’s handbag containing her mobile phone, wallet and passport.

Another female employee, who was inside the premises at the time of the robbery, was not hurt.

The two women contacted police after the man left the location and an investigation is now underway.

A 29-year-old Brisbane City man has been charged with six counts of armed robbery and two counts of attempted armed robbery following investigations into several incidents throughout Inner Brisbane.

Police will allege that between August and September, the man robbed several businesses, including several beauty salons in Milton, Brisbane City, and West End. It will also be alleged that the man attempted to rob two businesses within Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley.

He will appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 6.

A man allegedly armed with a knife attempted to rob a Fortitude Valley hairdressing salon earlier today.

Around 3.40pm the armed man entered the Wickham Street business demanding the attendant open the til.

The cash register contained no cash and the man left the store empty handed.

No one was injured during the incident.

Then man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, blonde hair and with a proportionate build. He was wearing a dark coloured shirt and brown coloured pants.

Police investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver overnight.

Around 9.15pm the 18-year-old delivery driver drove to a residence in Sarah Street after an order had been made for pizzas. Upon arrival the driver was approached by a man who was sitting outside the delivery address.

After the man’s EFTPOS card was declined he demanded the pizzas and money before threatening the driver with a machete.

The man fled on foot with pizzas and cash in the company of another male and two females.

The man is described as being 160cms tall and was wearing a red jumper.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating after the armed robbery of a Brisbane City hairdressing salon this afternoon.

Just after 3pm, a man entered the Mary Street business armed with a knife and threatened a staff member.

The man fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 180cm tall of an average build and red hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured long-sleeved shirt, jeans and had a black bag.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has seen a man fitting this description is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a massage parlour at North Ryde last night.

About 5pm, Sunday 1 September 2013, a woman was working at the reception of the massage parlour on Avon Road, when two men entered via a rear door.

Both men, who were armed with baseball bats, threatened the woman and demanded money before assaulting her.

She ran out of the store and called for help while the pair stole a handbag containing cash and a mobile phone.

Gladesville Police attended the premises and established a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

The woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault but did not require medical treatment.

Detectives are investigating the robbery and are looking for two men who have been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 170-180cm tall, aged in their 20’s and wearing black hooded tops, black tracksuit pants and white gloves.

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at Plympton this morning. At about 11am today, a man armed with a knife entered the post office on Marion Road and demanded money. He fled with an amount of cash, and was last seen running north on Marion Road. No one was injured during the incident. The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40’s, about 160cm tall, black hair, clean shaven, and was wearing a grey and black tracksuit top, and a black beanie

Fawkner Embona Taskforce detectives have released CCTV vision after a woman was robbed at gun point at an adult store in Campbellfield last week.
Investigators have been told three men attended the Hume Highway store about 10.30pm on Friday 23 August.
Two men entered the store and pushed over a number of display stands while the third man, who was dressed in a fluorescent jacket, kept guard at the front door.
One of the offenders approached a female staff member and produced a firearm while the other offender emptied a cash register.
The three offenders left the store with an amount of cash.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the armed robbery.
Police are particularly interested to speak to anyone who saw a white VP Holden Commodore outside the store before the incident.
Investigators have released the below CCTV images of three men who they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
