Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after two men robbed a service station in Eumemmerring last Friday.

Officers have been told two men armed with a knife and axe entered a service station on the Princes Highway just before 3am.

It is believed they forced the front glass door open after throwing a brick at the door was unsuccessful.

The offenders threatened the attendant and made demands for cash and cigarettes.

Cash and cigarettes were handed over and the bandits fled the scene into Doveton Avenue.

Investigators believe the same men robbed a service station an hour earlier on North Road in Murrumbeena.

The pair threw a brick through the glass door and threatened staff with an axe and meat cleaver just after 2am.

Police have been told they went behind the counter and stole cash from the till before fleeing the scene.

It is believed they may also be responsible for an attempted armed robbery at a service station on Belgrave-Hallam Road in Hallam on Wednesday, 6 April just after 1am.

They were unable to gain access to an internal door and fled the scene empty-handed.

Detectives have released images and CCTV of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are today announcing a reward of up to $350,000 for information following an aggravated burglary at a Mount Dandenong hotel back in 2014.

Investigators have been told two staff members were locking up the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road hotel on Saturday 22 March when two unknown men, wearing balaclavas and gloves, pushed their way through the rear door about 2am.

The offenders began assaulting the male and female employees with an unknown weapon.

Whilst the pair was trying to get away from the offenders, the man was dragged across the floor and further assaulted.

Both offenders stole cash, a wallet and some jewellery before fleeing through the rear door.

The offenders did not exchange any words with the victims or make any demands during the attack.

The man suffered a fractured eye socket and serious lacerations to his head while the woman suffered a fractured skull and lacerations.

Both were taken to hospital for treatment.

There was no CCTV footage at the venue however the offenders are described as being solid build and were wearing dark-coloured clothing.

A reward of up to $350,000 will be paid, at the discretion of the Chief Commissioner of Police, for information leading to the apprehension and subsequent conviction of the person or persons responsible for the assault of the pair.

In appropriate cases, the DPP may consider, according to established guidelines, the granting of indemnification from prosecution to any person who provides information as to the identity of the principal offender or offenders in this matter.

Any payment of a reward will be subject to the applicant signing a deed of confidentiality prior to payment.

Echo Taskforce investigators have this morning charged a man and woman following reports of shots being fired into a Caulfield business yesterday.

It’s alleged several shots were fired into the building of a Glenhuntly Road business shortly after 3am yesterday morning.

Six employees of the business were inside at the time and no injuries were reported.

Detectives with the assistance of the Special Operations Group arrested a man and woman at the intersection of Huntingdale Road and Ferntree Gully Road, Oakleigh, yesterday afternoon.

The 26-year-old Narre Warren man has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct endangering life, two counts of reckless conduct endangering serious injury and firearms, drug and theft related offences.

The 23-year-old woman of no fixed address has been charged with theft, firearms, drug and traffic related offences.

Both will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

Altona North Embona detectives are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a Wyndham Vale specialty store in February.

Officers have been told a man entered the store situated in a shopping complex on Greens Road around 2.30pm on Monday 8 February.

The man browsed in the store for 10 minutes before taking a set of screwdrivers to the front counter.

When the shopkeeper asked for payment the man produced a knife and demanded cash.

The victim open the till and the offender stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the centre, heading towards Ambleside Avenue.

Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The alleged armed robbery took place at a financial institution on Bellarine Highway about 3pm.

A 29-year-old Geelong woman has been charged with armed robbery and appeared in Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.

Police continue to search for the man involved in the incident and a grey or light- coloured VN Holden Commodore Sedan.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following an armed robbery at a Croydon hotel last month.

A white Toyota Aurion with four men inside has pulled into the drive-thru bottle shop of a Dorset Road hotel about 5.10pm on Thursday 11 February.

Three balaclava-clad men have got out of the car and approached the two male staff members, with one of the offenders threatening staff with a firearm.

The trio have stolen the content of a cash register and some cigarettes before leaving.

It is believed there was a fourth man driving the white Toyota Aurion.

Less than 20 minutes later the same vehicle, with stolen registration plates WKL606, refuelled the vehicle at a Scoresby Road service station in Bayswater before driving off without paying.

The vehicle police are searching for has damage to the rear, right-hand corner of the bumper bar.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a gaming venue in Breakwater last night.

Police have been told a man and a woman entered the venue, on Fellmongers Road, armed with a firearm and demanded cash just before 11pm.

The pair, who were wearing disguises covering their faces, left the scene empty handed and no one was injured during the incident.

Altona North Embona detectives are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a Yarraville service station earlier this week.

Officers have been told that a man entered the service station situated on Williamstown Road near Francis Street around 4.40am on Tuesday 9 February.

The man snuck up behind the lone attendant, who was cleaning shelves, and threatened him with a pair of scissors.

The attendant was assaulted and forced to open the till.

The offender stole a small quantity of cash before leaving the store and heading east along Francis Street.

Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Newborough last week.

Investigators have been told a man attended a petrol station on Naracan Drive about 5am on Saturday 30 January.

The man approached the counter and threatened the attendant with a firearm and demanded money.

The offender then fled with a quantity of cash and was last seen crossing railway tracks onto Hagans Track.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries as well as an image of a bag the man was carrying.

The man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged between 20 and 45-years-old, 167cm tall, with a solid build and had missing and dirty teeth.

He was wearing a blue check hoodie, grey tracksuit pants, black shoes and green beanie.

The man was also carrying a distinctive patchwork bag.

Detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Cranbourne last week.

Investigators have been told two men attended a petrol station at the intersection of Narre Warren-Cranbourne and Thompsons road about 2am on Wednesday 27 January.

The pair entered the store and walked around for approximately 5-10 minutes before approaching the counter and threatening the attendant with a knife.

The men stole cash before leaving the store on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

The first male offender is perceived to be of Asian appearance, aged in his late teens to early 20s, 160cm tall, with a thin build and long black hair that was tied back in a ponytail.

At the time of the armed robbery he was wearing a black New York Yankees cap, black Puma hoodie, dark pants and red shoes.

The second male offender is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late teens to early 20s, 175cm tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a black cap, black EMINEM t-shirt with a grey short sleeve shirt over the top, red pants and black shoes.
