Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery in Sydney’s south west earlier this month.
Around 6.45pm (Sunday 15 May 2016), officers attached to Sydney City Local Area Command were called to a bottle shop on Macarthur Street, Ultimo.
Police were contacted following an armed robbery.
A man armed with a hammer threatened the shop assistant, demanded money and left with cash.
No one was injured during the incident.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.
He’s been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 25 -35 years old, with short black hair, wearing dark clothing and a black and grey baseball cap.
Detectives are investigating after the armed robbery of an East Brisbane business tonight.
At about 11.30pm a man has entered the Lytton Road bottle shop and threatened a staff member with a handgun demanding money.
The staff member complied and the man left the store with a sum of cash.
He was last seen walking east on Lytton Road.
The man is described as Islander in appearance, stocky build, 175cm tall with short black hair and in his late twenties or early thirties.
A man has been charged following an investigation into two alleged armed robberies on the NSW Central Coast earlier this year.
About 9.40am today (Tuesday 17 May 2016), officers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command arrested a 19-year-old man at a home on Anniversary Avenue, Terrigal.
He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with two counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon.
The man was refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court today (Tuesday 17 May 2016), where he was granted conditional bail to reappear at Gosford Local Court on 12 July 2016.
Police will allege the robberies occurred on Friday 6 May 2016 and Friday 29 April 2016 at a bottle shop on Terrigal Drive.

About 9pm (Friday 6 May 2016), a man entered a bottle shop on Terrigal Drive, Terrigal, and threatened staff with a machete, demanding cash.
The two 21-year-old male employees handed over cash before the man ran from the store through the car park. He was last seen running along Junction Road toward Bellbird Avenue.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command conducted an extensive search of the area; however, no one was located.
A crime scene was established at the location and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Local detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and would like to speak with a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being aged in his 20s, with a thin build and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a grey long-sleeved shirt and dark-coloured long pants, and had a blue jumper wrapped around his head, covering his face.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time is urged to come forward.

Police investigating the armed robbery of a liquor store at Yagoona have released CCTV images of two men they would like to interview.
About 7.30pm on Wednesday 9 February 2016, a 27-year-old man was working at a bottle shop on Dargan Street, Yagoona, when two men entered the store.
Police have been told the pair – one of whom was armed with a wooden bat – threatened the employee, before taking cash from a till and running from the scene.
No one was injured.
The robbery was reported to police and an investigation commenced.
As inquiries into the incident continue, police have released images of two men they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
The first man depicted has been described to police as being about 195cm tall, with a slim build, and aged between 18 and 20 years.
He was shown wearing gloves, a light grey hooded jumper, dark pants and a black balaclava.
The second man depicted is described as being about 170cm tall, with an olive complexion, short dark shaved hair, and was wearing a dark top and pants, with his face concealed by a piece of orange material.
Anyone who knows the identity of these men, or has information that may assist detectives, is urged to come forward.

Around 7.50pm, a man entered the business on Lakes Creek Road armed with a bottle and threatened staff.
The man proceeded to take goods from the business before leaving on foot.

Officers have been told a man armed with a firearm entered a bottle shop on Auburn Road just after 9.30pm.
The offender threatened the attendant and made demands for cash.
A large amount of cash was handed over and the bandit fled the scene.
He was wearing a black Adidas hooded jumper with stripes on the sleeves and a blue and white bandana covering his face.
Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV and are keen to speak to any witnesses.

The man fled the premises on foot a short time later, with cash, and was last seen running toward Shoults Lane.
No one was injured during the incident.
Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command were alerted and launched an investigation into the incident.
Local police, with assistance from the Dog Unit, conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area; however, the man was not found.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and would now like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being about 185cm tall and of a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper with a white circle across the front and a white t-shirt underneath, dark-blue pants, red gloves and a navy-blue face covering.
The man was also seen carrying a black Billabong backpack with white and green trim across the top of the bag.
