Detectives have charged a 21-year-old woman following the alleged armed robbery of a bottle shop on Smiths Road in Goodna this afternoon.
It will be alleged at around 4:15pm a woman entered the business armed with a knife, threatening a male shop assistant before leaving the premises with a quantity of alcohol and a sum of cash.
Police commenced patrols of the area and located the woman nearby a short time later.
The male shop assistant was not physically injured during the incident.
A 21-year-old woman from Redbank has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 26.
Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery in Coffs Harbour overnight.
About 8:20pm (Saturday 25 July 2015), police were called to a liquor store on Park Avenue after the 27-year-old shop attendant was confronted by a man armed with a knife, demanding money.
Two vehicles entered the drive-thru of the store and the man ran from the area.
No one was hurt and no money or property was stolen.
The man has been described to police as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s, about 175cm tall with a slim build and blond hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a white mask, black hooded jumper, long black pants and grey shoes.
A 37-year-old man is assisting police with inquiries following the armed robbery of a bottle shop in Mackay yesterday.
At around 4.30pm a man entered the bottle shop on Evans Street and threatened a female attendant with a knife before stealing products from the shelf.
The man then left the store but was tackled on the street by a member of the public and restrained until police arrived.
The man was taken into custody and transported to the Mackay Base Hospital where he is receiving treatment for a leg injury sustained during the tackle.
The employee was not physically injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
Police are searching for a man following the armed robbery of a drive-through bottle shop at Inala last night.
Around 7pm a man entered the Freeman Road premises on foot before confronting an employee, producing a knife and making demands for money.
He then grabbed the male attendant by the neck and forced him to open the cash register.
The staff member complied with his demands and handed over a sum of cash from the till before leaving the premises on foot.
The 21-year-old employee was not physically injured.
Detectives would like to speak to a man who is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, about 180cm tall with a solid build and wearing dark track pants, a dark t-shirt and white shoes.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Aspley overnight.
Around 9pm, a man entered a bottle shop on Gympie Road and produced a knife.
He made demands for cash, the attendant has complied and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a business at Parkinson early this morning along with a number of other offences believed linked in the area.
Around 5.15am a man entered an Algester Road bakery armed with a knife and demanded money from a female attendant at the counter.
A second man armed with a piece of wood then entered the store and smashed a glass front on a fridge before moving to the rear of the business and smashing a pot off a bench whilst also demanding money from three other staff members.
The man then took a bag of money from a bench.
At this time one of the workers armed himself with a stick and charged the offender causing him to run back to the front of the shop.
The two men attempted to take a cash register but dropped it before running outside to a waiting car.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall and had his face obscured by cloth
The second man is described as having a dark complexion, 190cm tall and was wearing black clothing and gloves.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Detectives are also investigating a number of other incidents in the vicinity early today.
Around 4.30am a grocery store on Beenleigh Road at Runcorn was broken into after a window was smashed. Entry was gained and a cash register was stolen.
A break and enter of a bottle shop at Oxley Road, Graceville also occured around 4.30am, where a glass door was smashed allowing access to the business. The premises was entered and a quantity of alcohol was stolen before the offenders drove away in two cars.

Around 9am this morning a woman was sitting in a car at a Forest Lake Boulevard carpark at Forest Lake when a man opened her passenger door took her bag from the passenger seat.
It is believed that two stolen vehicles are involved in these incidents which were also involved in petrol drive-offs overnight at Carseldine and Oxley.
The first is a red Holden Calais bearing Queensland registration 545MAN, which was stolen following a burglary at Victoria Avenue Woody Point on July 12.
The second is a grey jeep bearing Queensland registration 901TOR which was stolen from Nandina Court at Upper Coomera overnight on July 12 to 13.
An armed offender has committed two robberies at BWS Mowbray Hotel and BWS Retreat Hotel last night.
The robberies were committed between 7:00pm and 7:20pm on 16 July 2015.
Uniform police arrived on scene locating the man still inside the bottle shop at the Retreat Hotel, where he was arrested without incident.
The 19-year-old man from Hadspen was interviewed by detectives and charged with both robberies.
He was been remanded in custody to appear at 11:30am on 17 July 2015 in the Launceston Magistrates Court.

Police will allege that around 8:30pm a group of people, entered the bottle shop on Ruthven Street and helped themselves to bottles of alcohol. Police will further allege that when the shop attendant interrupted one member of the group, he observed the male was holding a bladed weapon.
The employee retreated and the group ran from the shop.

An 18-year-old Harlaxton man and a 15-year-old Wilsonton girl have already been charged in relation to the matter.
A 17-year-old North Toowoomba man has also been charged with one count each of possession of a weapon, enter premises with intent and robbery in company. He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on August 4.
