Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with investigations into the armed robbery of a chemist at Mount Louisa this afternoon.
Preliminary information suggests around 1pm a man entered the business on Bayswater Road armed with a firearm and threatened staff before throwing an army green duffle bag on the ground and demanding pharmaceutical drugs.
The staff complied and the man took the drugs and fled the scene in a silver Holden Commodore sedan (pictured) driven by an unknown person.
The burnt out shell of the vehicle was later located by police on a track at the end of Bayswater Road.
It is believed the same car was involved in two petrol drive-offs earlier in the day at service stations in Bohle and Yabulu and was displaying false Queensland registration 665WCR.
The man (pictured) is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 182cm tall with a slim build and was wearing maroon or purple rugby jersey with long sleeves and white collar, black tracksuit pants and white shoes with a black Nike logo.

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Sydney’s inner-west.
About 11.20am (Wednesday 21 December 2016), a man entered a pharmacy on Glebe Point Road, Glebe, and threatened a staff member after producing what appeared to be a firearm.
He escaped with an amount of cash. The staff member was uninjured.
The offender is described as having olive skin, about 183cm tall, solid build, about 30 years old, with sports tape on his nose and chin.
He was wearing a black cap with a yellow ‘Ferrari’ symbol, a grey long sleeve shirt, black trackpants with white stripes down the sides, black sports shoes with white bottoms, and he was carrying a red and black bag.
Police from Leichhardt Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the incident. No arrests have yet been made.
A 39-year-old man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of enter premises with intent following investigations into an incident at a medical centre in Idalia this afternoon.
Police will allege around 1pm, the man entered the Kokoda Street premises wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife before threatening a number of people inside.
It will be further alleged the man then entered an adjoining pharmacy where he threatened an employee and demanded prescription drugs.
The shop assistant complied and the man fled the store in a vehicle with a quantity of cash and prescription drugs.
Police arrived on scene a short time later and identified the vehicle at Loam Drive Rasmussen through information provided to them by witnesses.
A man was detained by police and items were further located.
A 39-year-old Heatley man is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A man has been charged after an alleged armed robbery in the state’s north last weekend.
About 9.30am on Sunday 9 October 2016, a 55-year-old man allegedly armed with a syringe entered a chemist on Ballina Road, Goonellabah.
It’s alleged the man threatened employees before stealing prescription medication and leaving the store.
Officers from Richmond Local Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home on Coraki Road, South Gundurimba, last Wednesday (12 October 2016).
During the search they allegedly located and seized clothing and prescription medication.
On Friday (14 October 2016), a 55-year-old man attended Lismore Police Station. He was arrested and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.
The man was refused bail to face Lismore Local Court on Saturday (15 October 2016) where he was refused bail again to reappear at the same court tomorrow (Monday 17 October 2016)
Detectives are investigating an aggravated robbery at a chemist in Fulham tonight.
About 8.45pm, Monday 3 October, a man armed with a knife threatened staff at a Henley Beach Road Chemist before walking out with prescription drugs.
The suspect was wearing a black, grey and white patterned hooded jumper and sun glasses. The jumper was pulled up covering his face. He is described as being about 185cm tall with a heavy build.
Thankfully staff were not physically injured.
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Palmwoods pharmacy this afternoon.
Around 2.44pm, it will be alleged a man armed with a pitchfork entered the Margaret Street premises and demanded prescription drugs from an employee before attempting to flee with several boxes of medication.
As the man approached a glass door, closed by customers inside the pharmacy, it will further be alleged that he smashed the door using the pitchfork.
It will then be alleged the man fled on foot before being apprehended by passers-by in a nearby street.
The man was then taken into custody by police.
A 36-year-old Narangba man has been charged with enter premises with intent, armed robbery and wilful damage.
He will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, August 8.

A short altercation took place between the offender and a pharmacist, before the offender fled the scene with an amount of cash and medication.
Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended and arrested a 55-year-old man nearby, after being assisted by a member of the public.
A knife was allegedly located in his possession.
He was taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was charged with armed robbery.
He was refused bail to appear at Waverly Local Court tomorrow (Monday 8 August 2016).
The pharmacist was uninjured.
Two charged following investigations into the armed robbery of a pharmacy at Matraville.
Just before midday Saturday 16 July 2016, a man entered the pharmacy on Perry Street armed with a syringe.
The man threatened staff before fleeing with cash and prescription medication and was last seen running west along Perry Street.
Police were alerted and officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
A search of the area was commenced with assistance from PolAir, however the man was not located.
On Thursday 21 July 2016, a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with robbery with offensive weapon (x5) and aggravated assault with intent.
The charges relates to the Matraville robbery and four other alleged armed robberies this month.
He was refused bail and appeared at Central Local Court on 21 July 2016 where he was again refused bail and is due to appear at Central Local Court on 13 September 2016.
About 9.30am today (27 July 2016), a 19-year-old woman was arrested at Maroubra in relation to the armed robbery.
She was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with armed robbery and conceal serious offence.
The woman was refused bail and will appear in Waverly Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 28 July 2016).
Police will allege the woman assisted the man during the robbery.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended and conducted a patrol of the area. No one was located.
As part of their investigation, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.
He is described as having a tanned complexion and was seen wearing grey pants, a black jacket with white stripes on the wrist and waste, black runners with white tread and a backpack.
