Police are investigating the armed robbery of a fast food outlet at Kallangur earlier this morning.
Around 3am a man entered the Anzac Avenue store and threatened a female staff member with a knife.
The man grabbed hold of the staff member, forcing her to open a cash register. He then fled on foot with a sum of cash.
The attendant was not injured.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 170cms tall, thin build wearing a black hooded jumper, shorts and no shoes.
Police are investigating an armed robbery of a fast food outlet on Main North Road, Gepps Cross overnight.
At about 10.15pm, a man armed with a knife threatened staff at Hungry Jacks and made off with cash.
He left in a white Holden VS Commodore sedan containing two other people. They were last seen heading north on Main North Road.
No one was injured during the hold-up.
The suspect is described as a man aged in his early 20s, with a medium build and wearing a black balaclava and dark clothing.

Police from Hawkesbury Local Area command are investigating the circumstances surrounding a robbery at a seafood café in Windsor last night.
About 9.20pm (Sunday 31 March 2013) the owner was leaving the seafood business on George Street via the rear door having finished for the night.
His vehicle was parked in the carpark and as he opened the car door he was approached by three men, all wearing balaclava’s.
One of the men was armed with a firearm, and another with a wooden baton.
They forced the owner back inside the premises where they made him open a safe containing an amount of cash.
The three men ran from the premises with a bag containing the contents of the till and the safe.
The owner was not physically hurt during the robbery.
A crime scene was established which was processed by Windsor Detectives and officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.
A pizza shop employee is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in the neck during an armed robbery in Sydney’s south.
About 1pm (Friday 29 March 2013), a man armed with a knife entered the store on the Princes Highway, Rockdale, and jumped the counter.
The man demanded money from staff before stabbing a 29-year-old male employee in the neck with a knife.
The offender then fled the store with no proceeds.
Police and ambulance paramedics attended and the victim was taken to St George Hospital where he is in a stable condition.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to identify the alleged offender of the aggravated robbery at the Hot Lantern Chinese Restaurant in Jamison in the evening of Sunday, March 3.
Around 8.35pm, a man armed with a knife and wearing a motorbike helmet entered the restaurant threatening three employees before stealing a handbag containing a small sum of cash and personal cards.
The offender also took a sum of money from the cash register.
The man is described as 170cm (5’7”), of solid build and was wearing a black long-sleeved top and black pants. He was last seen riding a green two-stroke trail bike, most likely a Kawasaki, towards Bowman Street.
Prior to the aggravated robbery the offender may have parked his trail bike on the footpath outside Ricardo’s Café, Jamison Centre.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police are investigating a robbery in Acacia Ridge overnight.
Two men entered a take away store on Oxley Street around 7pm and one offender punched a male worker in the head.
As the other offender took a sum of cash and cigarettes, the first offender punched a female worker and pushed her to the ground.
Both offenders fled on foot and were last seen on Agness Street.
The man and the woman were taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a restaurant in Cannon Hill early this morning.
About 5:20am a man followed an employee into the premises and produced a machete. The man threatened the employee and a cleaner who was already in the premises with the machete and demanded money.
The employee handed over a sum of money and the offender fled on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
The man is described as being about 20-years old with a dark complexion, 160cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, cream shorts and had a grey and white bandanna covering his face.

Around 3.15pm a man entered the Wardell Street store and threatened the store attendant with a metal object before demanding money.
After obtaining a sum of cash the man fled the store and is believed to have left in a dark coloured hatchback.

The man is described as being approximately 185cm tall with a dark complexion.
He was wearing blue jeans, white and blue short sleeved shirt, dark shoes and a large straw gardening style hat. He had a shirt tied around his face and a glove on one hand.
A man will face court this afternoon charged over his alleged involvement in a string of armed robberies in Sydney’s south west.

Just before midnight (Wednesday 13 March 2013), police were called to a restaurant on the Hume Highway, Liverpool, following reports of another robbery where a firearm was produced.
A short time later, officers attached to Liverpool Local Area Command attended an address on Fitzpatrick Crescent, Casula, where they arrested a 26-year-old man.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and interviewed by detectives.
A search warrant was also executed at his residence, where police seized items which will undergo forensic testing.
He has since been charged with three counts of robbery armed with a dangerous weapon.

Around 3.05pm two men entered a Junction Road bottle shop. One of the men allegedly threatened to stab the male attendant and made demands for cash.
The men fled on foot with liquor and a sum of cash.
Around 6.15pm two men entered a Toombul Road fast food store before one of the men allegedly threatened the female attendant with a hypodermic needle filled with red fluid.
The men fled on foot with a sum of cash.
Two men, a 22-year-old and a 23-year-old, have been charged with two counts each of armed robbery in company.
They are due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
