A man was swiftly arrested just minutes after a robbery at a hotel bottleshop at Port Lincoln.

Just before 11pm on Thursday 7 September, a man allegedly armed with a knife stole cash and a bottle of wine from the drive-thru before leaving on foot.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery.

Police quickly arrived at the scene and searched the area and located the suspect a few minutes later at a nearby hotel and arrested.  The money and wine were recovered.

The 42-year-old man from Port Lincoln has been charged with aggravated robbery and refused bail to appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court later today.

Police have arrested and charged two people over a robbery at Glengowrie this morning.

Police were called to an Oaklands Road service station about 5.45am on Wednesday 6 September after a man entered the store with a hammer and jumped the counter.

The man was grabbed by a member of the public as he tried to run out of the store empty handed and held him until patrols arrived. A second male was seen waiting outside the service station who ran off soon after the man was apprehended.

Patrols cordoned off the area and searched for the second suspect with the assistance of Dog Operations officers and PD Ink, who was last seen running east on Oaklands Road.

The second suspect was not located at the time however subsequent investigations led police to a Largs North home where he was arrested.

A 19-year-old man from Park Holme and a 17-year-old boy from Largs North were charged with aggravated robbery and they will both appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Police have recovered a firearm believed to have been used in an overnight robbery at Elizabeth South.

Just after 2am on Friday 1 September, a man and woman left an Elizabeth South hotel after playing the pokies.  They walked along Chivell Street, then north on Goodman Road, towards Penfold Road.  While cutting through a reserve near the corner of Penfold Road, a man approached them, armed with a firearm.

He fired a shot into the ground, demanded their property, but left empty-handed and was last seen jumping fences towards Philip Highway.

Fortunately, there were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, about 178 cm tall, wearing a dark hoodie with a skeleton or skull face and dark pants.

Police searched the area this morning and have recovered a firearm suspected of being used in this incident.

Two teens and a man have been arrested following a robbery at an Elizabeth bottle shop last night.

It will be alleged just before 7pm, Monday 28 August, four males entered the shop, one man threatened staff with a baseball bat while the others stole alcohol and cigarettes. Thankfully the victim was not physically injured.

Patrols and PolAir quickly searched the area and with the help of Police Dog Iggy a baseball bat and some stolen property was located in a nearby garden.

Detectives from Elizabeth CIB subsequently searched homes at Andrews Farm and Elizabeth East before arresting two boys and a man.

A 12-year-old boy from Andrews Farm, a 15-year-old boy and 36-year-old man from Elizabeth East have all been charged with aggravated robbery. They have all been refused police bail, the boys will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court and the man will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.

Investigations are continuing to locate the fourth suspect.

Elizabeth Police are seeking information from the community after a man was robbed at an ATM last night at Elizabeth.

Just after 8.30pm on Wednesday 23 August, a man had just used an ATM at the Elizabeth Shopping centre on Oxenham Drive, when a male approached him from behind and placed a sharp object into his back and demanded the money he has just withdrawn.

The victim handed over his wallet and the suspect fled on foot, dumping the wallet minus the cash and credit card shortly after.

Two men have been arrested after an investigation into a robbery at a Clarence Gardens hotel last week.

Police will allege that about 8.15am on Sunday 13 August, two men entered the gaming room of the South Road hotel, with one of the men armed with a baseball bat. The men threatened staff and one patron was assaulted with the baseball bat. The two men left the gaming room after stealing an amount of money.

This morning (21 August) detectives from the Serious Crime Task Force arrested a 50-year-old man of Davoren Park and a 23-year-old man of Ascot Park.

Both men have been charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault. Their bail has been refused and they are due to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

Police today released CCTV footage in relation to the armed robbery of a Clarence Gardens hotel on Sunday (13 August) in a bid to identify the offenders.

Just after 8am on Sunday two men – one armed with a bat – entered the gaming room of the hotel on South Road.

A male patron from the hotel was struck on the arm during the robbery and was treated by ambulance officers at the scene.

The offenders, who stole cash, fled on foot and were last seen on Pearson Street.

A search of the area by patrols and a police dog failed to find the pair, who are described as being slim and aged in their early 20s.

Sturt Detectives are seeking information from the public after two men robbed a Clarence Gardens hotel this morning.

Just after 8am on Sunday 13 August, the two men, one armed with a bat, entered the gaming room of the hotel on South Road threatening staff and assaulting a male patron, before stealing cash and fleeing on foot.

Patrols including a police dog patrol searched the area looking for the two men described as Caucasian in their early 20’s, both with slim builds, wearing hooded tops, jeans and sandshoes, last seen on Albert Street.

The male patron from the hotel who was hit in arm during the robbery was checked by ambulance officers at the scene, but didn’t require any further treatment.

Police today release CCTV of a man wanted in relation to the robbery of a Southern suburbs hotel last month.

The robbery occurred just before 6pm, Saturday 22 July, polcice were called to the Old South Road hotel after reports a man armed with a knife had threatened staff in the bottle shop before leaving on foot with an amount of cash.

CCTV from the premises captures the suspect running from the scene. He is described as being Caucasian, about 170cm to 175cm tall, medium build, tanned skin, brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a hooded top, blue pants and a cap.

The man was last seen running north on Old South Road.

No one was physically injured.

Police are issuing an appeal for dashcam footage following the discovery of card skimming devices at Modbury and Prospect last month.

Holden Hill CIB are investigating the two incidents which occurred at a Modbury ATM on Sunday 23 July and a Prospect ATM on Wednesday 26 July, and are calling for anyone with dashcam to check if any suspicious activity was captured on their footage.

Police are specifically appealing for anyone that may have been at the Northpark shopping centre and nearby streets on the 26 July between the hours of 12pm and 5pm, or in the Tea Tree Plaza area and nearby side streets on the 23 July 2017 between the hours of 12pm and 5pm.
