Police are investigating an attempted robbery at the Henley Beach South Post Office this afternoon.
Just after 4pm a man armed with a small axe and wearing a balaclava entered the Post Office on Henley Beach Road and threatened staff.
The man ran out empty-handed, leaving in a white Holden Commodore sedan registration WXJ316 that was parked at the front of the post office and being driven by a woman. This car was reported stolen from Morphett Vale overnight.
Police found the car abandoned a short time later in Louise Street at Fulham but after a search of the area, the suspects could not be located.
No-one was physically hurt.
One man is described as being Caucasian, 170cm tall, stocky build with a pot belly, wearing a dark blue top, black gloves, black sports pants with white stripes and white shoes.
Police have commenced an investigation into the armed robbery of an adult shop in Coffs Harbour early yesterday evening.
Shortly after 6pm (Saturday 16 May 2015), a man armed with a knife entered the shop – on Little Street – and threatened a 32-year-old woman who was working behind the counter.
The woman complied with the man’s demands for cash, handing him an amount of money from the shop’s cash register.
The armed man then fled the location on foot and was last seen running towards an unnamed laneway that links through to Gordon Street.
Police were contacted and an investigation into the robbery is now underway.
The man detectives are looking for is described as being approximately 180cm tall and of thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue, grey and white hooded-jumper, dark pants, white shoes and dark gloves. His entire head was concealed by a white covering.
Police are investigating after an armed robbery occurred in Kingston late this afternoon.
About 5.30pm a man entered an Ashton Street business armed with a hammer and threatened the attendant and demanded money.
The attendant complied and the man took a sum of money and left the store.
The female attendant was not physically harmed.
The man is described as possibly of Pacific Islander appearance, 163cm tall, with a broad build.
He was wearing a red hooded jumper with a white motif printed on the front, black long pants, blue and white sports socks on his hands and white and dark grey lace up shoes.

Detectives from Melbourne Embona Taskforce have charged a man following two alleged armed robberies in the CBD and Prahran in the past month.
Leon Woods was arrested in Frankston this morning and charged with two counts of armed robbery.
The 30-year-old Frankston man was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
The first incident occurred at a retail centre on the corner of Lonsdale and Swanston Streets in the Melbourne CBD, around 3.25pm on 22 April.
The second incident occurred at a liquor store on Chapel Street, near Chatham Street, around 2.50pm on 2 May.
Five boys from the western suburbs have been charged with a number of offences following a series of armed robberies.
It’s believed the robberies occurred between 2 April and 28 April and spanned across suburbs from Point Cook to Glen Waverley to Craigieburn.
A 16-year-old boy and four 17-year-old boys were collectively charged with 40 armed robbery offences.
The boys are set to appear at a Children’s Court.
Four other boys were initially arrested, however they were later released without charge.
The investigation continues.
A man will face court today following investigations into three armed robberies near Wollongong earlier this year, and a fire in Raymond Terrace last year.
About 12.30am (Thursday 30 October 2014), emergency services were called to a dry dock compound on Hunter Street, Raymond Terrace, following reports of a fire.
The fire was extinguished and a crime scene was established. Investigations into the incident commenced.
Shortly before 11am (Sunday 8 February 2015), a man entered a convenience store on George Street, Warilla, allegedly armed with a knife, before threatening staff and fleeing with an amount of cash.
About 3.50pm (Tuesday 10 February 2015), a man entered a beauty salon on Beverley Avenue, Warilla, allegedly armed with a knife, before threatening staff and fleeing with an amount of cash.
Shortly after 6.30pm (Wednesday 11 March 2015), a man entered a video store on King Street, Warrawong, allegedly armed with a stun gun, before threatening staff and fleeing with an amount of cash.
Crimes scenes were established at each of the armed robberies and examined by specialist forensic officers. No one was injured during any of the incidents.
About 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 May 2015), following investigations, police from Mudgee Local Area Command attended a home on Liverpool Street, Baradine near Coonabarabran, where they arrested a 24-year-old man.
During a search of the man, police allegedly found and seized an amount of drugs, believed to be methylamphetamine (‘Ice’) on him.
The man was taken to Coonabarabran Police Station where he was charged with, armed robbery (x3), destroy property by fire, and possess prohibited drug.
He was refused bail, and is due to appear at Dubbo Local Court today (Thursday 7 May 2015).
A man has been charged over two alleged armed robberies earlier this month.
About 5.30am on Friday 1 May 2015, a man allegedly entered a newsagency on Oaks Road at Thirlmere and threatened the owner with an electronic stun device.
The man fled the store a short time later with cash.
Officers attached to Camden Local Area Command were contacted and launched an investigation.
In a separate incident, a man allegedly entered a newsagency on Northern Road, Luddenham, about 8.30am on Saturday (2 May 2015).
He approached the counter and demanded cash. The man left the shop and was last seen entering a silver car parked nearby.
Green Valley police attended and established a crime scene at the location.
No one was injured during either incident.
Following further inquiries, Cabramatta police stopped a silver BMW sedan on John Street at Cabramatta, shortly before 1.30am today (Tuesday 5 May 2015).
During a subsequent search of the 34-year-old male driver, police located an electronic stun device and amounts of methlyamphetamine, cocaine and LSD.
All the items were seized for further forensic examination; and the man was arrested and taken to Green Valley Police Station.
About 10.45am, police executed a search warrant at a home on Swallow Street, Jamisontown, where they allegedly located ammunition, an extendable baton and substances believed to be illicit drugs.
The 34-year-old man was later charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon (two counts), possess prohibited weapon, possess ammunition without holding a licence, possess prohibited drug (three counts) and larceny (two counts).
He has been refused bail and is due to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday 24 June 2015.

About 5.10pm on Saturday 28 February 2015, a man allegedly entered a store on Chamberlain Street armed with a knife and threatened the female attendant while demanding cash.
Police have been told when the attendant struggled to open the cash register; the man allegedly lunged at her several times.
He was last seen running south along Lindesay Street, with cash.
Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
A crime scene was also established at the store and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Detectives continued their inquiries into the incident, including reviewing CCTV footage from the store and launching a public appeal for information.
Shortly before 3pm yesterday (Friday 24 April 2015), a 24-year-old man attended Campbelltown Police Station, where he was arrested and charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 18 May 2015.
A woman was locked in a room following an armed robbery at Moorooka last night.
Around 11pm a man armed with a knife attended the Koala Road premises and confronted a female employee demanding money.
After taking a sum of cash the man locked the woman into a room before running off.
The woman was freed by police and was physically unharmed.
The man is described as Caucasian, 25-30 years of age, of slim build and was wearing a black hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and had his face obscured by cloth
