23 January 2017 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Mermaid Waters

Detectives are investigating following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Mermaid Waters overnight.
Just before 10pm a man entered the business on the Gold Coast Highway armed with a bladed weapon.
The man demanded money from a 17-year-old male shop attendant who complied with his demands, handing over a sum of cash.
The man then fled the scene on foot and was last seen heading south along the Gold Coast Highway.
The shop attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall, of a slim build with long dark hair.
18 January 2017 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Browns Plains
Published January 20, 2017 | Last night, Logan Detectives located and charged a 26-year-old Gatton man with the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in Browns Plains on December 2, 2016.
Police will allege the man, armed with a knife, forced a male console operator to fill a duffel bag with a quantity of cigarettes before running from the store.
No one was injured during the incident.
The 26-year-old man is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court later today.
17 January 2017 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Everton Park
Published January 20, 2017 | Police are investigating after a convenience store was robbed at Everton Park overnight.
Initial information suggests that at around 11.15pm, a man entered the store on South Pine Road and produced a knife.
He made demands for cash and when the male employee complied, the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 175cms tall and has a large build and light coloured hair.
Investigations are continuing.
15 January 2017 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Charters Towers
Published January 20, 2017 | Police have charged an 18-year-old man following the alleged attempted armed robbery of a convenience store in Charters Towers yesterday.
It will be alleged the man entered the Gill Street store around 5.30pm and collected food items before approaching a female employee.
He then allegedly held a disposable razor to the staff member’s neck, walked her towards the back of the store and made threats.
The victim managed to free herself when another customer entered the store and alerted another employee.
It will be alleged the man then fled the scene before police attended and arrested him a short time later.
The staff member sustained a small cut to her neck during the incident.
The 18-year-old man has been charged with one count of attempted armed robbery and wilful damage and will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow.
19 January 2017 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Huntfield Heights
Published January 20, 2017 | A man has been arrested after he tried to rob a convenience store at Huntfield Heights, but was detained by the store owner and a customer.
Police will allege just before 11.30am, a man armed with a knife entered the South End Super Deli on Honeypot Road and threatened the owner with a knife while demanding money.
He forced his way behind the counter but was detained by the owner and a customer who had just entered the store.
The two men held the suspect until police arrived soon after. They were not injured.
A 29-year-old Huntfield Heights man will face charges of aggravated robbery, and it is expected he will be refused bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow.
31 December 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Wynnum
Published January 13, 2017 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Wynnum this afternoon.
Investigations indicate just after 4pm a man entered a business on Randall Road wearing a backpack and demanded money from the female shop assistant.
The man then produced a knife and jumped over the counter before taking money and goods from the store.
He was last seen fleeing the scene on foot.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
23 December 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Chermside
Published January 9, 2017 | Police investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Chermside last night (December 22) have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations.
Preliminary inquiries indicate a man entered the business on Gympie Road around 6.40pm and followed the 24-year-old male store attendant behind the counter.
The man then demanded money and showed he was armed with a hammer.
He grabbed a sum of cash from the cash register and fled the scene on foot.
The man had short dark hair and was wearing work boots, dark shorts and an orange and blue hi-vis shirt.
Police are urging anyone with further information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
19 December 2016 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Wynnum
Published December 20, 2016 | Detectives have charged a man following investigations into the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store yesterday.
It will be alleged the man, armed with a knife, entered the store on Tingal Avenue around 5.30pm.
Police further allege the armed man then confronted a staff member and made demands for money.
The staff member complied and it will further be alleged the man left the store with a sum of money.
A 30-year-old Eagleby man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
He is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, December 19.
No one was injured in the robbery.
18 December 2016 – Armeed Robbery – Convenience Store – Wynnum

Preliminary investigations indicate at around 5:30pm a man entered the business on Tingal Road, armed with a knife.
The man demanded money from a male employee before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall, of a medium build, aged in his 20s and was last seen riding a bicycle east along Edith Street.
6 December 2016 – Update – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Logan Village
Published December 9, 2016 | Police have charged a man following the investigation of an attempted armed robbery of a convenience store in Logan Village on Saturday.
It will be alleged just after 5pm a man entered the business on Wharf Street and produced a knife in a threatening manner towards a staff member.
The male staff member refused to hand over money and the man then left the store.
Police have charged a 21-year-old Forest Lake man with one count each of attempted armed robbery and wilful damage of a vehicle. He is expected to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 10.
