Police are investigating an armed robbery of a service station in Cairns last night.

Around 8.30pm a man entered the Reservoir Road business armed with a knife and demanded money from the male attendant.

The attendant complied and the man ran away with a sum of cash. No one was physically injured in the incident.

Police investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Rocklea service station at about 11.45pm Saturday night.

A man has entered the Sherwood Road business and threatened staff with a bar. Staff complied and the man left the store with a quantity of cash.

The man is described as Caucasian, mid thirty’s, 170cm, slim build and dark clothing.

The attendant was not physically injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area or who may have information in relation to the matter to contact Crime Stoppers or Policelink.

Police are investigating an attempted aggravated robbery at Gilles Plains.

Just before 3pm, Holden Hill patrols were called to a service station on Grand Junction Road after a man armed with a knife threatened a staff member.

Nothing was stolen and no one was physically injured.

The man is described as Caucasian, aged about 18 years, 178cm tall with a fair complexion and short cropped light brown hair. He was wearing a dark hooded top with white stripes around the shoulders and arms and a white pattern on the front along with black pants.

He left the scene on a green BMX and was last seen heading south along Wandana Avenue.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a service station in Lithgow last night.

About 8.55pm (Wednesday 15 October 2014), a man entered the service station on Main Street Lithgow before producing a knife from the sleeve of his jumper.

He climbed onto the front counter and demanded the cash draw from the attendant.

The man removed a keyboard from the counter before fleeing. He was last seen running south on Main Street with the keyboard in his possession.

The attendant was not harmed during the incident.

Police from Chifley Local Area Command attended the service station and established a crime scene.

Detectives would now like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black cap with gold trim, black gloves, a black hooded jumper, blue jeans, and dark coloured sneakers with fluorescent yellow laces and white soles.

A man will appear in court today, charged over the armed robbery of service station in Punchbowl earlier this year.

Police will allege about 2.50am on Wednesday 9 June 2014, a man used a hammer to smash the front glass doors of the Punchbowl Road business and approached the male console operator.

He allegedly demanded money and sprayed an aerosol can towards the attendant with lit a cigarette lighter, resulting in a small flame.

The attendant complied and the man allegedly left with the cash. The employee was not injured.

About 3pm yesterday (Monday 13 October 2014) Campsie Detectives attended a home on Algona Street, Dubbo.

They arrested a 19-year-old man who was charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.

He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court today (Tuesday 14 October 2014)

About 10:40pm, Saturday 11 October 2014, a 26-year-old man was working in the petrol station on Bexley Road when a man entered the store.

The employee was in the process of cleaning fridges when the man approached from behind and pushed him to the ground.

He was threatened with a knife and forced to walk over to the counter and open the cash register.

The armed man stole cash from the register before lunging out with the knife and nicking the man’s hand. He then ran off towards Vicliffe Avenue.

Police from Campsie and Ashfield Local Area Command attended and established a perimeter before conducting a search of the area with the assistance of the Dog Unit but were unable to locate the armed man.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old man was treated at the scene by paramedics for a minor injury to his hand.

Detectives are continuing investigations into the robbery and are looking for a man described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his mid 20s, 170-175cm tall with a solid build and a moustache.

He was wearing a navy blue jumper, black Adidas tracksuit pants with white stripes down the sides and black Nike joggers.

A man has been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a service station in Tamworth earlier in the week.

About 8:50pm on Friday 10 October 2014, a man entered the service station on Armidale Road and allegedly threatened a 39-year-old woman with a knife.

He demanded cash and cigarettes and was handed money from the register, however, a customer entered the service station during the robbery.

Upon seeing the armed man the customer ran off before the man fled the scene. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police from Oxley Local Area Command were called to the service station and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic officers.

Detectives conducted investigations and yesterday (Saturday 11 October 2014), arrested a 42-year-old man at a house in Tamworth.

He was taken to the local police station where he was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon and refused bail to appear in Tamworth Bail Court today (Sunday 12 October 2014).

Around 4.30am, two men entered the Daisy Hill Road store and approached the store attendant.

One of the men produced a handgun while the other jumped the counter and stole a sum of cash and cigarettes.

The men fled the scene on foot.

One man is described as being Caucasian in appearance with a slim build. He was wearing a bright yellow rain coat, black jeans, and a black beanie.

The second man is described as being African in appearance with a slim build. He was wearing bright orange overalls and a black baseball cap.

The attendant was not physically injured during the incident and police investigations continue.

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at a service station in Giralang last night (Saturday, October 4).
Around 8.05pm yesterday, the offender entered the 7-Eleven service station and threatened the attendant with what appeared to be a small revolver. He stole cash and cigarettes, then ran off.
Police attended, and AFP Forensic investigators examined and documented the scene.
The offender is described as over 183cm (6’) tall, with an athletic build, dark skin and a defined goatee beard. He was wearing sunglasses, a black hooded jumper with olive green sleeves, a beanie, black pants and white shoes.

Police are appealing for public information following three armed robberies in Bonnyrigg Heights, Cabramatta and Prairiewood overnight, which are believed to be linked.

About 12am (Wednesday 8 October 2014), police were called to a service station on Cowpasture Road, Bonnyrigg Heights, responding to reports of a robbery at a service station.

Police have been told two men – one armed with a knife and handgun and the second armed with a metal bar – smashed the window of a service station with the metal bar, before entering the store and threatening a male employee, demanding money.

The pair ran from the scene a short time later taking cash. The male employee was uninjured during the incident.

Just after 2.30am, police were called to a service station on the Cumberland Highway, Cabramatta, following reports three men – one armed with a hand gun and one armed with a metal bar – smashed the front windows of the premises.

The men took cash and ran from the scene a short time later. The male staff member of the service station was uninjured.

About 3am, police received reports three people had entered a service station on Smithfield Road, Prairiewood, one armed with a handgun and the other two armed with metal poles.

No one was injured during the incident; however the trio drove from the scene taking cash and cigarettes.

Officers attached to Fairfield and Cabramatta Local Area Commands were alerted of all three incidents, which are believed to be linked.

As they continue their investigations, police would like to speak to three men who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

The first is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, and of medium build. He was seen wearing a black hooded jumper with white writing on the front, black track suit pants, black shoes with white stripes, and a black backpack with a purple flower print.

The second man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance and of solid build. He was seen wearing a grey hooded jumper with a black print on the front, black football shorts with yellow and white on the sides, and black and white casual shoes.

The third man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, and of medium build. He was seen wearing a white singlet, blue shorts, a black cap and black running shoes.
