Sunshine Coast detectives have arrested two men for Armed Robbery.

Police will allege the two men arranged for a takeaway delivery to a Kuluin address.

Upon arrival the delivery driver was confronted by a man in partial disguise with a small axe. The driver was threatened and made to hand over the order to the offender.

Police have charged the two Buderim men aged 21 and 19 years-old with armed robbery.  They will appear in custody at the Maroochydore Magistrates Court this morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an armed robbery in Punchbowl this morning.

About 7.15am (Friday 21 November 2014), officers attached to Campsie Local Area Command were called to The Boulevarde, near the intersection of Punchbowl Road, after reports of an armed robbery.

Investigators have been told a group of at least four men approached the driver of a delivery van at the location and threatened him with a firearm, before striking him in the head with the weapon.

There was also a second man with the driver; however he was not injured during the incident.

The men took an amount of cigarettes from inside the van before fleeing the location in a white van.

Campsie police were contacted and launched an investigation into the incident.

Inquiries revealed the white van was utilising stolen number plates, ZBC549, and had courier signage down the side of the vehicle.

Local police conducted extensive patrols of the surrounding area; however the vehicle was not located.

The men involved have only been described as wearing hooded jumpers, track suit pants and either balaclavas or bandanas covering their faces.

The delivery driver was assessed by NSW Ambulance Paramedics at the scene, but did not require further medical treatment.

A crime scene has been established at the location and will be examined by detectives and specialist forensic officers.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man being sought in relation to a robbery that occurred at a business in the South Coast Local Service Area yesterday.

About 4.30pm a man armed with a knife entered the business on Beach Rd at Christies Beach and threatened staff.

He fled on foot with a small amount of money. No one was injured in the incident.

Despite a search of the area, the offender was not located.

He was described as being aged 25-30, about 178cm tall, wearing a black zip hoodie, black peaked cap, black gloves, grey pants and white shoes with black laces.

Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a shop in Padstow this afternoon.

About 3.40pm (Thursday 13 November 2014), a 72-year-old man was working at the counter of a shop on Faraday Road, Padstow, when another man entered and approached the counter.

The man threatened the attendant with a knife demanding cash.

He then walked around the counter and took cash from register, before running onto Shoults Lane.

Police were contacted and Bankstown Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation.

Specialist forensic officers attended and examined the scene.

The attendant was not injured during the robbery.

Investigators would like to speak to a man described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 20-years-old, slim build, 180cm tall, and at the time was wearing dark long sleeved hooded jacket with a white symbol on the chest, dark knee length shorts, white socks and dark shoes.

Police believe new details about the number plate of an alleged getaway car may hold the clue to a recent spate of armed robberies across Sydney.

On Friday 24 October 2014, police released vision and images in relation to 15 armed robberies and attempted robberies in recent months.

Since the initial appeal, detectives have received calls from members of the public to report additional details.

Of particular note, they believe the Kia Carnival Van that was possibly involved in the incidents, has black and gold number plates and the first digit was ‘B’.

Between Sunday 24 August and Tuesday 21 October 2014, a series of armed robberies was committed upon newsagencies, service stations, liquor stores and hotels across Sydney.

During some of the incidents, two men entered the premises armed with a pistol and demanded cash from employees before fleeing the scene.

Officers attached to the Metropolitan Robbery Unit established Strike Force Tuft to investigate the 15 armed robberies and believe they may be linked.

Investigators previously released CCTV images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries; as well as an image of a vehicle believed to be similar in appearance to the one used during the incidents.

One man depicted in the images is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 175cm tall with a medium build and wearing high visibility clothing.

The second man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 180cm tall with a medium/solid build.

• a hotel at Smithfield on Wednesday 22 October, 2014

Detectives are continuing their inquiries and have renewed their appeals for anyone with further information to come forward.

Police are investigating an armed robbery of a clothing store in Warren last night.

About 3.30pm (Friday 7 November 2014), a man armed with a syringe entered the clothing store on Dubbo Street, Warren, and threatened a 33-year-old female employee.

He fled the scene a short time later, taking cash.

Officers attached to Darling River Local Area Command were alerted and attended, establishing a crime scene.

The woman was uninjured during the incident.

As police continue their investigations, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 25-30 years old, 180cm tall and of slim build with short brown hair.

Police are investigating an armed robbery of an adult store in Liverpool yesterday afternoon.

About 2.40pm (Friday 7 November 2014), a man armed with a knife entered an adult store on Scott Street and approached a 24-year-old male staff member behind a counter.

Police have been told the armed man threatened the staff member, demanding cash.

The employee then attempted to lead the armed man out of the store, when the armed man chased the employee for a short distance outside the store.

He then fled the scene with cash. The employee returned to the store and contacted police.

Officers attached to Liverpool Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The 24-year-old man received minor cuts to his arm; however did not require treatment.

As police continue to investigate the incident, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 28-years-old, of large muscular build and with brown hair.

Anyone with information or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident is urged to come forward and contact police.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery in Shellharbour yesterday.

About 2.45pm (Tuesday 4 November 2014) two men, one carrying a gun, entered a business on Addison Street.

The men allegedly threatened staff and demanded money.

Two employees, a 55-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, complied with their demands and handed over an amount of cash before the men fled on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene that was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

One of the men is described as Caucasian in appearance, 185cm tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants, blue latex gloves, and carrying a gun described as a single barrel sawed-off shotgun.

The other man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 175-180cm tall, with a stocky build. He was wearing a blue hooded jumper, black track pants, white sneakers, black gloves with a skeleton printed on top, and had a black stocking covering his face.

Police are currently investigating an armed robbery at a newsagency at Werrington Downs last week.

Just after 8am on Friday 31 October 2014, a man wearing a balaclava entered the Dunheved Road newsagency armed with a pistol.

The man threatened the two shop assistants and demanded money. The man left the shop with cash and was seen to get into a silver hatchback driven by another man in Charles Todd Crescent.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
